Working down many streets of the city i can tell you its fantastic the amount of city flags , scarves and bunting outside peoples houses

Coundon / Kerseley you did especially good btw

But on a serious note. Coventry feels pretty united again in its love for the local football team and despite some annoyance in regards to the parade , im sure it will be a great day that showcases this

Drove through Chapfields earlier and I have to say, good effort from them.

I went to Coventry briefly down the M69 M6 yesterday and I did notice a number of houses in the Radford, Coundon area had put banners and flags up.

But when I drove back home through that hotbed of CCFC support Wyken and Longford it was noticed how few had bothered.

Lovely to read

Having grown up in Cov but not lived there for about 20 years it’s really nice to hear. I hope to visit again soon, maybe for the parade.

Where have they all gone? The area was much nicer with them here, streets were full of houses that were all student let's, now it's full of third worlders wanting to live squalor.

A lot in Canley, (more foreign students).
A lot in dedicated student accomodation, which there's not much of in Earlsdon.

We just provide the venues for all your entertainment.
Otherwise you'd all be drinking white lightening in lady herberts

The City Arms is one classy venue that definitely provides some entertainment

I seem to remember lots of residents complaining about the amount of students at the time. Be careful what you wish for...

Lower numbers are for a few reasons. Firstly, there are fewer numbers of foreign students studying in the UK and there seems a slight reduction in Uk students as fewer are choosing uni. Others are that uni's and developers are trying to get the most out of the market and trying to get as many as possible into dedicated student blocks. I also agree that there does seem to be more students around the Canley area - a large student development went up just off the A45 near the old police station and I think a number of the newer housing are being used as student lets too.
