Yeah, good point.

I really like the squad we have, but it does need to be upgraded if we are going to be realistic about having a chance of staying up.

Personally I hope we sign Rushworth. It wouldn't totally surprise me if Uncle Doug gets it done.
I think we do it and i don't think it will be as expensive as some think either. Dunno why, just always had the feeling. Tbh if Brighton start edging us towards £20 million, i think we could get as good for less by looking abroad.

Think Rudoni and Thomas have more chance of being Prem starters than Grimes and Wright personally. I guess we'll be finding out which ones are Prem ready soon enough!

This summer is going to be ace. Cant wait.

Just seems to get a lot of noise regarding Brighton wanting to keep him and I've heardit from someone down that neck of the woods.

If they dont, then I'm sure we'll snap their hands off to take him. The only thing is, he won't be cheap, so even if we cant get him, I'm sure we'll invest in someone decent.

Team of the season:

Rushworth
MVE
Crama
Doyle
Tymon
Azeez
Hackney
Grimes
Sorba Thomas
Haji Wright
Vipotnik

4 players from Cov!

Having Sorba Thomas in that team instead of Tatsuhiro Sakamoto is a f****** joke. 🤬

Ipswich have managed to united the whole league by showing how entitled and deluded they are.

Never seen so many other clubs fans all calling them out.
Totally agree. Despite stiff competition I maintain that the worst refereeing performance and the worst penalty decision of the season were in Ipswich's 1-1 draw with Preston at home. Their gift of a penalty came in the 92nd minute and needs to be seen to be believed.
Even the normally stoical Preston fans were up in arms.
Preston are safe now.
Preston's last game of the season is at home to Southampton............Just saying.

Saw some Sheffield United fans discussing how we'll go down with 20 points today. Hilariously even if it were the case we'd still have more points than when those useless cunts last went up and absolutely stunk the joint out.
Their transfer business consisted of scrambling around for Gus Hamer because Sander Berge pissed off. Pretty honking team.

I back us to get at least 30 points. Maybe go down but will put up a better fight than any of last season’s shite

Last season or the season before, yes I agree. Ndiaye and Berge, their only 2 Prem level players, left despite being promoted. They actually managed to get worse upon being promoted which is quite impressive really. Its why I have no respect for Hamer, I've never seen a team more obviously relegated before a ball was even kicked.

They'd also spent 2 of the previous 4 seasons in the top flight so should have been far better prepared.
We're going in after 25 years away.

I still think we'll stay up, though not going to get bent out of shape about it if we don't.

If I had to guess now before the summer window I'd say we make a huge battle of it and end up relegated in late spring. None of this relegated by Christmas bollocks.

I can’t make a prediction like that till I see who comes up and down along with our summer business. But I am pretty confident we will do better than any of last season’s bottom 3, and the season before.

I'm just confident King and Lampard will put what's needed in place.
Being a cautious cat I’ll wait until seeing what happens, I have no doubt they’ve got a good plan but in a World Cup year and now competing with other top flight clubs, deals will take longer if not fall through more often.

Automatics will go down to the wire so we’ve got ourselves a great headstart on other promoted clubs anyway. Fingers crossed Millwall make it.

For me

Milan
Thomas
Tats
Onyeka
Grimes
EMC
Rudoni
Haji

None of them will look out of place in a Premier league 18

Just the other 10 we will need 😂
I agree with those, obviously taking into account that some will be squad players rather than regular starters. Wouldn't rule out keeping Eccles, KKH, Torp and (awaits pelters) Simms and a couple of others too. We won't have 20+ proven Prem players, and this year's team spirit is a precious commodity.

I think we're going to surprise a lot of people. Can't see us finishing bottom. If we can keep the backbone of our 1st team and make some good additions it would give us a decent chance of staying up.

I trust Lampard to have a plan. I'm expecting a surprise signing or two. We're going to be backs to the wall a fair bit but we do have several goalscorers already.

In terms of strength we are somewhere between Leeds and Sunderland at the point they went up. I don’t think we’ll need to scrap almost the entire team as Sunderland did but equally we’ll need a lot of strengthening at the back especially.

It’s going to be a very exciting summer regardless, as you say some signings nobody will see coming.

Millwall and Middleborough would be perfect. Up to 12 points there 😂

Any two from them plus Hull basically, Southampton in particular we could do without.

Not been convinced by Ipswich actually so I wouldn’t be toooooo concerned if they went up.
