Coventry City "influencers" (36 Viewers)

Glad there's a thread on this.

Anyone wearing a Manchester United shirt and now is trying to get all the attention from our promotion can get to fuck. Exactly the type of person you would have to stand up to back in the school years when they were mocking you for supporting CCFC.

Never trust them, same like those who went to watch Wasps.
Agree, not going to go at people who are less obsessive than weirdos like us on here and probably lost a lot of interest in the club when they were playing the likes of Newport and Forest Green. That's just the way some people are and we need/needed those people back honestly. Anyone who started 'supporting' another club though, can get to fuck. Including a good friend of mine unfortunately, although tbf he has stayed to fuck and i will continue to gatekeep from him and every time we get into football chat now i let him know what a c**t he is and what he missed. Hilariously the club he latched on to was Spurs so this season could be an all timer.

I blame parents too.

If my daughter said she wanted a photo with some random gimp with a beard I'd tell her to sort her life out.

Grown men encourage it like they are meeting Ronaldo or Messi.

Not all men with beards are gimps 😂

I agree with the sentiments on 'influencer culture' but ultimately, you decide on what you watch. Every browser comes with a back button and a close tab button. Use them if you don't like something. You can even use built in tools on YouTube and social media to block someone and stop them appearing on your feed etc.

These people make their living from people watching their content, if it bothers you that much, don't watch it.
I think most people are more annoyed by the fact that these people end up representing the club to a wider audience than just just disliking their content personally.

I've met Lee once and he was fine, other than the constant vaping regardless of who was around him.
The whole vaping regardless or who's around isnt a Lee problem. Its a vapers problem! They ALL do it. Even indoors. Its gross. But because its not "smoking" they think its socially acceptable! This really should go in the "things that annoy you" thread!

It's properly weird the one people are getting upset with is a local lad who is posting about his local team

even if he did support united it would be a good thing he know supports us
I actually quite like you now after our spats, agreed with most of what youve said this season but you are way off with this.

The claim of he always supported us doesnt wash. I mean come on how is this explainable?

the worst one is the guy with the beard, spends more time recording himself and looking at his camera than he does watching the game. Very odd, ticket should go to someone that actually wants to watch us play

Every time we have one of these moments where the club is getting a lot of attention, parts of the fanbase mobilise into policing who is and who isn't part of the fanbase.

It's a pretty miserable trait and I think like so many of these nasty behaviours says more about their own feelings of inadequacy than those of the people they're attacking.

Ultimately, what has got us to record attendances at Wembley, regular sell outs at home is people coming back to the club who were not attending previously. Their return has been part of the story. Even if it it wasn't, policing who is and who isn't a real fan is just a waste of energy.

To be fair mate i think he has learning difficulties

He seems a nice guy and always positive

Its not just him that winds me up, its the people that play up to it. The sausage thing died a death over a year ago, and the place that does them is shut down

Instead of ending it he recycles old pics of the same meal and you have idiots like 'Love it Martin' 'Guaranteed 3 points' etc, fuckoff man.

Encouraging idiocy is a trait of the current general public and it shouldn't be

it’s harmless to be fair.

The true influencers are the legends on this forum surely? Fuck the beardy weirdys and Man Utd turncoats on YouTube and the sausage posters on Twitter. We're the real fucking deal.

Because on twitter , everything bothers everybody
oh yes totally agree. it’s harmless and it’s clear Martin has some sort of difficulties. Always made me laugh to be fair.

It’s less nauseating than all the fans commenting “sexy 😍” on the cov women fans posing in cov tops

I welcome anyone who wants to support City
