I like Alex Craig as he's been on it all the way 😂
As well as many others who don’t bleat on about it at every opportunity. Why the love in for this Alex chap from everyone? Isn’t he exactly the same as the others and asking us to “like and subscribe” so he can cash in on the back of sponsorship etc? Wake up people.

What does it matter?
If people like his content and subscribe what's the issue?
It doesn't cost anything. It's not for me, I only watch the odd one occasionally but it's not like anyone's parting with cash.

The smart plastics like me simply switched our support over from Man City to avoid having to buy new scarves. That's Asda price

Memorial mate. But dont know how concrete my source is
It’s been rumoured for a couple of weeks, hopefully the Club can pull it off. If it were anywhere in the park I imagine it would be situated where Godiva’s old main stage was situated.

The vloggers have a place. Like you say the are very vanilla but every now and again ill do the rounds on YouTube if im trying to relive a goal from the weekend at work. Not really my thing but it must be others thats fine.

For me that place is for all the Sky Blues fans around the world who can't sample the atmosphere for themselves.

While you're talking about scarves, god watch out next season, roll up roll up get your half and half scarves. 😡

The Championship Reddit group will be a big miss as well, there's some great content in there.
Although I notice fans of teams like Burnley just hang around as they'll inevitably be back.

The official Cov club page comment sections on social media will be on the avoid list though.
The comments pre and post semi final against Man Utd were bad enough
I'm not leaving r/championship I'll still watch a lot of championship football as well

Not sure who else saw the quiz hosted by Brooker and Dublin was there, sponsored by Coral. Anyway, one of the questions was to name the United team we beat in 1997 and the Cov fans (and the tuber mentioned) said Schmeichel was in goal. Pilkington in goal was the biggest gimme ever...
Why would that matter? VAR is the biggest bastard ever to ply for MU.

I remember him being on twitter last season complaining about the lack of atmosphere and there being no singing. He was basically calling out the fans for not making enough noise. About a day or so afterwards, he's posting videos of himself, in singers corner, after a goal and the fans are going mental around him and he's there, not making any noise, just talking to his phone about how good the goal was.

I know he's been going since he was a kid and I'm not questioning his Fan status at all but you cant spend the entire game recording the match on your phone and not celebrating goals and then call out others for killing the atmosphere. He's complaining about a problem he's a big part of creating.

Why the vitriol? It’s divisive. We should be celebrating new fans…

It’s their choice/their journey.
I don’t think anyone has a problem with that American dude because he’s transparent about being a new fan.

I think with the bearded guy, it’s the pretence that he’s been on the journey and he’s always been this die hard fan when some feel he’s only been going more regularly since he’s been able to vlog / post about it.

I’m not saying he’s one but there are some of these types that would stop going if they weren’t allowed to post about it on social media.

I hate to break it to people but I reckon about 1/4 of the ground these days probably supported someone else 5 years ago. We didn’t just find 15 people under a rock. I personally know a handful of people who were ‘United’ or ‘Liverpool’ fans who now go most weeks.

It’s just the reality of the situation. We’ve always had a relatively fickle fanbase and there were barely any Cov fans in secondary school when I went in the late 2000s.

It's nothing new

My dad went to school in Coventry in the 70s and he was saying people his age were wearing Liverpool, Leeds and even Derby shirts!

No doubt there are people like that.
But as I've said before, I know loads of people who went during the L1 and L2 days but they'd only go to a few games a season.

Now they're ST holders. So not new fans, just more committed

4 of our group of 9 just stopped going when we were relegated from the PL but have had STs again for the last couple of years - I’m sure there are plenty like that as well.

It’s just the nature of football that interest goes up with success and down with failure. It’s not a new thing specific to us.

Just look at the number of fans on the Leicester forum (one of the fanbases who have taken the piss the most about our crowds in recent years) saying they aren’t renewing their season tickets.

My dads friend is the best.

Always been a fan, just stopped going for years. First game back was Forest after Covid and has a season ticket and been away ever since.
