Something about the faces Football vloggers pull in the thumbnails for their videos really annoys me - there must a reason to do this that I'm not understanding because they all do it. Might put it in the things that annoy you thread

The lads on the second tier pod are just chumming the waters, they are always trying to jinx Cov.

I thought they set up extremely negatively. So deep, offering up loads of space in midfield while leaving the front two isolated. Beyond that, they just didn’t look up for it.

It was a real ‘on the beach’ performance.
How else would they set up? It was the exact same at Deepdale, they had one big chance all game and took it.

Well not with 9 players camped on the edge of their box while we have the ball on the halfway line for a start. It was far too passive.
Norwich, Oxford and Hull did this and they’re the only teams to get draws out of us. Ipswich actually have the quality to hurt any team in the division and frankly, it was probably the worst time of the year to play them for both ties.

PNE weren’t so much a poor team, we were just comprehensively a better team.

We should’ve won by more but we also considered the game done after the penalty and cleared the bench by 65-70m? This is when Lampard tends to start making subs.

Come off it they were terrible. They were prepared for defeat the minute they started.

From an away perspective it reminded me travelling in the 80’s with a handful of fans present and just waiting for a pasting.

It took the biscuit when their keeper tried to waste time after 45 seconds.

That said, they’re not the only shit team to sit back and try to grind out a shot draw, see: Oxford. The difference today is that we forced more pressure on them and moved the ball well and at times, got lucky. Had we got a lucky (that we deserved) deflected goal v Oxford, we would’ve got a similar result.

It feels harsh to say it as we sit top of the table, but god I was annoyed with that Hull performance,oh well!

Football knowledge seemingly solely earned from playing Championship Manager, incredibly salty Derby fans, as much tactical insight as a Primark bag with a turd inside..... what a podcast :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
They've gone past the point of trying to wind us up about this season now, and instead they just go on about how we are poor winners and will get battered next year

Just don’t get how that’s a flex, getting it from prem “supporting” mates about how we’ll get hammered.

Might aswell give up now lads and just stay where we are. I’d rather attempt the premier league than being happy playing Oxford and Preston next season

I think most on here accept we will struggle and likely get hammered, and anything else is a bonus.

Its like we are meant to be insulted by people saying we will lose heavily to an Arsenal or Man City.

Everyone thought Sunderland would get battered and they’ve cruised to safety compared to record breaking Leeds and Burnley.

Making comments about the perceived strength of the Championship is irrelevant as soon as a team gets Prem money. Year on year there’s championship players making the step up and we comfortably have a few on our books able to do that. Additions are necessary but that’s true for any team going up a division across the football pyramid.

I just have a feeling we don't do too badly next season.
Just hope we have patience with Lampard, and try to carry on playing nice football, rather than going out to just avoid defeats every week.

I fucking cannot stand them smug pair of clowns

Even if it turns out to be just one season I am so looking forward to us not falling under the jurisdiction of their shite podcast

I've given it a go in the past, but they just seem to state the obvious most weeks, and rely on reactionary clickbait titles.
I don't really mind Justin tbf, but I find Ryan can be quite irritating and condescending

Lampard is a good manager who is flexible. He’ll build a good squad and we’ll have a recruitment advantage imo.

We’ve got a good squad with players who will make the step up just fine. That doesn’t mean it’s ’Prem Ready’ but after a few signings, we should be alright.

Everyone who comes up will get battered and come back down they said the same thing about Sunderland, Bournemouth back in the day, Brentford 5 years ago, Burnley and the stayed up for years. It’s possible to recruit well without breaking the bank. Plenty of basket case clubs in the PL already forest , West Ham, Leeds

Forest with the owner does some weird shit with his team, probably to support his other ventures in some way.

I think the thing I'm really not looking forward to when we go up is the constant shit opinions from 'Premier League Fans TM'

Supporters of generic 'big' Prem clubs give it out because they are completely clueless. Supporters of Championship clubs we are leaving behind just give it out as pure cope, as if they wouldn't like their club to go and collect £200 million and play some of the best teams in the world for even just 1 season. It's a way to soothe themselves.
