FL will not be short of offers come summer, lots of them will be tempters and if it suits the family then i think that overrides the footballing reasons. We would all understand if the decision was to move closer to home and im sure vast majority would be forever grateful for the football we have seen under him. For me if he stays great, if he goes im fine with it, just thankful it happened.

He seems to have a good working relationship with Doug and a settled team around him. He has said he is happy, why rock the boat when everything is going well.
He has legendary status at Chelsea and will have it at Coventry and further cement it by consolidating premiership status. I think the aim is to get Coventry there and bed them in. It's at that point he might seek a new challenge.

I mean, I've no idea what his family circumstances are, but just pointing out that there may be other factors outside of football that would perhaps influence him. I'd be amazed if he went to Bournemouth though

Everything in football is temporary. He won’t be here forever. I think he gives us 1 year in the prem. if relegated, he goes. If we do well and stay up, maybe year. Then I think he goes.

Bournemouth job aside (which would probably ideal as the next stepping stone (established PL side/location/less fan pressure), I think it would have to be a settled mid table team. I don't think the big teams will risk their CL ambitions until he's established himself in the PL/ If we stay up, then all bets are off.

I obviously don't live exactly where Lampard does... I wish! But I obviously drive up to Cov (or Kenilworth) regularly and it's really not that bad of a drive. I also drove to Bournemouth recently and that was significantly more painful, took a fair bit longer in the end.
I assume people just think "oh its down south so it must be closer." It really isn’t.

For a lot of managers, they crack on with it. Neil Warnock’s family were based in Cornwall when he was manager at Middlesbrough-Lona.

I can't see him going back to Chelsea . He must know a few bad results and you are out, Chelsea at the moment are paying 30 million plus to ex managers and coaching staff.

He needs some reasonable success in the Premiership. He can't afford the label, of he is just a Championship manager and can't do it in the Premiership.
If the right offer came in, to manage a better squad with the right funds to improve it, I think he will take it. As much as I think he likes it here, if he feels he has taken us as far as he can because funding will restrict him. He will go, he is ambitious. Who would blame him. Jimmy Hill didn't stick around and took the easier money from broadcasting.

In an ideal world he will stay a couple of years establish us a a premier league team whilst we win the FA Cup, Title and then the champions league , then take over from Tuchel .
