I'm not sure the desperate to prove he's not foreign is any better than wanting to prove he was...

Don't disagree. I do think the quiet shows that folks claiming to be raging about the wider issue of knife crime or violent crime, might actually be more focused on (and in a rush to find and post about) crimes like that which are carried out by people that aren't white or British. It's not like there's been much real chat about the issue itself since the b*stard's nationality etc. was made known.

Do we even know the hero was an immigrant or are we just basing it on his name? There was another hero too, the Forest fan. Both amazing people wherever they are from. I'm not sure the desperate to prove he's not foreign is any better than wanting to prove he was, it's all a bit 'ooh look a I'm happy because the man who stabbed people on a train was born here'.

Surely he's a c**t regardless and the sympathy should still be with the 11 victims?

Who are "these people"'?
I do wonder if he'd been to the match as he travelled up by train
.
Give it 10 years and the whole solar system will be gone.

Won't even be able to jump on a space ship to Neptune without being scared for your safety.
Will the air traffic handler's and pilots be up to it by then, and will they have received their salary, asking for a friend, I made that last bit up?🤭

Findings are grim - people were it’s stated more concerned in helping him through his autism than any risk he posed

They'd probably be picked up by border force.

And given 10k each for their troubles.

Some people on here are more concerned he’s denied his human rights of having hot water to make a cup of tea
To that I say, what about the human rights of the victims? In The West we’ve cared more about the human rights of criminals than of victims and it’s had disastrous outcomes.

You’d need to back that up with any evidence you have

Every foreign criminal who’s committed a violent crime that we’ve been unable to deport because of the risk of "torture or inhuman treatment"… what about public safety?

*in this respect, the definition of what constitutes ‘inhuman treatment’ has been stretched so far you get scenarios where if a criminal’s child doesn’t like foreign chicken nuggets or if they fear their beard will be forcibly shaved off. Unfortunately, it’s not a joke and both of these reasons have been given, and accepted as reasons to not deport someone.
