Ipswich are averaging 1.875 PPG. We're averaging over 2ppg. If Ipswich average 2ppg for the rest of the season they would end up on 87 points. We already have 85 points.

Their run in is very hard. Ours isn’t too bad. We have the points on the board plus more.

Of course they could beat us but it looks very unlikely.

With nothing to lose from a promotion perspective, surely the team go all out to win the next 2, which probably seals it.

If Ipswich do win their next 3, it leaves Wrexham at home to finish it off.

This just feels like the next thing for people to get in a flap about, same as those convinced we'd get caught by 2 other teams and chucked out the top 2. We've done the hard and most important bit. I'd love the pot to top it off as I think we deserve it and I think we'll get it. We should play with more freedom now we are up and anyone thinking Ipswich will win 6 out of 6 is brain dead.
But the media loves a kerfuffle.😎

Can we have a reality check here?

This question is for the over 1/3 of us that think we will fail only.

Let's swap places with Ipswich. If we were 10 points behind Ipswich with 6 games to go for us and they had 4 games to go and a much better GD and with them having the easiest run in out of the pair of us would you be expecting us to win the title?

I don't think a third of us do think we'll fail. The thread title and poll options were mismatched, so many voted incorrectly. Like me.

Run a new poll and the results would be totally different.

Of course they could but at it stands they need to win the next four or win three and draw one, just to guarantee promotion.

If they win out and nick the title after getting 90-93 points, fair play to them. Won’t be any shame in coming second to a parachute club whose wage bill is probably double or triple ours

Hopefully we get a couple of wins asap which should do it for us though

What cup semi final ?

I reckon to win the league Ipswich will probably have to win minimum 5 out of their 6 games, possibly all of them. So i'm still favouring us. Now promotion is out of the way (well barring a mathematical miracle) the nerves will have gone now and the players will have full focus on winning the league.

The pressure is off us now. We can get back to playing our normal game now. Ipswich have all the pressure on them and a real hard run of games. A bird in the hand? We have 10 of them. Just 1 more win means they need 5 wins or 4 wins 2 draws without anything else from our other 3 games because of the GD.

Blackburn away then 2 home games. We're going to clinch 1st place in front of our own supporters 🥳

I don't think the pressure is off us at all. We've been top of the league for all bar 5 days since the end of September, it's our title to lose. The players will feel that regardless of fan expectations. I still think we do it.

The players were more concerned about promotion. The title is the icing.

The pressure is off now, as you can tell from Lampards interviews since

Nah, not having it. They will be feeling the pressure, they wanted to promotion, they now want the title.

I expect us to do it. But this isn't an easy run in.

I'd say its the easiest run in out of ours and Ipswich

If the pressure was on, why did they have a night out post getting promoted. That was clearly the main target.

Why wouldn't they enjoy a night out. Aim 1: promotion - done
Aim 2: after being top of the league all season is to win the league. Professional pride will mean they will be desperate for that silverware. Or are you suggesting they aren't bothered and are now mentally on the beach, as job is done?

I never said our run in was harder than Ipswich, I just said ours is not an easy run in.

And I'll repeat, I expect us to win the league.

Where have I said they are on the beach?
I've said the pressure has reduced dramatically as of us getting promoted.

They will know if they just go as they have been the title will be tied up.

What pressure have we got?

We're the only promoted side if you're being realistic. If Millwall win 3 games 4-0 and the other game 5-0 and we lose our last 4 games 4-0 we would be level on points and GD but would still go up on goals scored.

Ipswich still have work to do to get promoted., especially with their 2 home 4 away games. They have to play away to a side that's not lost in their last 15 games and have just beat Arsenal. That's pressure.

I think once were mathematically promoted the pressure will be off. They should play with freedom then and smash the last few games.

I respect your view but don't agree with it.

They won't be looking at the title but will be after promotion. We already have promotion. They would be delighted with 2nd place. The worst thing that can happen to us is finishing 2nd. The worst thing that can happen to Ipswich is finishing 3rd or lower.

it’s telling that their fans are more concerned with Southampton than us

Listening to Benjamin Bloom he still has us bang on for the title.

I have said all along I wanted promotion and don't care about finishing top

But that was back when it was close between us and Boro

Now that promotion is sealed with 4 games to spare, I want the title now and I want it on the Wrexham game. Celebrations after that game just won't feel right if we don't do it
