Why has Tanaka not featured for Leeds? I do like him, but interested why he would be useful for us when Leeds not used?

be great to find a young Onyeka type….pure athletic freak.
Ampadu is their captain and Stach has been one of the signings of the summer for £17m. Then Gruev, I think, is a bit more solid defensively so has been preferred as the next option.

Posh chairman thinks we’ll be signing someone from them or ex posh.

Don't mind this at all as a long term plan- spend a relatively small % of the kitty on 2-4 good young prospects, maybe with loans to Champ teams next year, then you either:

bring them into our 1st team squad if they've progressed
use them at Champ level ourselves if we go down
move them on as experienced Champ players for a profit (with sell on/buy back clauses) if we stay up and they're not likely to hit Prem level

I know sod all about Posh's team, but glancing at their squad the following are young and playing a bit:

James Dornelly 20yo RB England U-20 29 games this year after 25 last
George Nevett 20yo CB Welsh U-21, full season at Rochdale under his belt and double figures for apps with Posh this year and last
Harley Mills 20yo LB/Mid, ex Vile youth and started EFL trophy final last season
Donan O'Brien-Brady 22 Mid, ex Fulham and Spurs youth, 50 Posh apps in last 2 seasons
Kyrell Lisbie (son of Kevin) 22 FW, looks like a late bloomer like EMC/BTA, come through the leagues 14 in 45 this year mainly from the wing

Chelsea need to sell not loan and Delap one sending off and one goal.l this season . No thanks.

Just taking from what I heard on talk sport ( I know) earlier, that Chelsea are willing to let him go out on loan.
What you really turning your nose up at Delap who Chelsea paid 30mill for?
record this season hasn't been great granted but he is a decent striker and can play in the premier league.

Chelsea overpay a lot for players that they seem to collect sell on or realise they don't want. They have about 6 keepers on their books none of whom are good enough. I don't rate Delap myself but if a loan deal maybe. Their debt is huge , guess if they sell Fernandez to Real Madrid it will help them a lot.

He’s in his classic ‘market trader’ mode. We’re not signing any Peterborough players.

He genuinely makes out his academy is one of the best in the country when I'm pretty sure the best player to come out of it in recent years is Harrison Burrows.

He's a classic 'former' estate agent. 95% of what he comes out with is either hugely exaggerated or plain lies.

We will be looking at 2 types of player …. Those that can make an impact next season and those with high potential that can make an impact in the future.

We were linked with Lawlor at Cardiff. It won’t be to start in the Prem next season ….

Not a rumour but I’m thinking about premier league fringe players.

Willock from Newcastle could be a good shout with Jacob Murphy

I don't refute that but based on his track record if MacAnthony is coming out with this, it's probably not true.

In his mind I'd imagine he's thinking - 'if I say publicly Coventry are looking at our players then that might encourage other clubs to take a look as well'.

He's constantly plugging his own players and attempting to put them out to market. If you listen to his podcast he pretty much does it in every single episode I've listened to - and most of the players he's lauded over have turned out to be at best average, at worst genuinely garbage.

I’m not saying it’s true but to instantly dismiss it is also moronic.

Last year we talked about forming a more strategic alliance with Posh where we might get first refusal on some players going forward. It’s not impossible therefore that we have continued to monitor their brightest young players.

When ever there is a transfer rumour on here some people default position is “ it’s bollox “ ….

I've seen rumours of Stones going to Everton. Wonder if Tarkowski or Keane would be available.
Tarkowski would be my dream CB signing for us next year.

If you could get the 3 experienced players of

Tarkowski
Hojberg and
Chilwell

We would be well on our way.

New signings is all well and good but we have to shift a few on first. Likely Bidwell, Allen and Wilson for starters, but then who?

Bidwell, Allen, Esse, Yang, Kitching, Woolf will all be gone at a minimum

Would be amazed if we kept all of Simms, BTA, Torp, Eccles too.

I think defense will be most radical rebuild, not surprised if JDS, Kitch, Woolf, Brau, and Bidders all going.

I think only potentially Allen (end of contract) and Torp (sold) from the midfield, assuming we retain Rudi, Eccles, Grimes.

I can also see only BTA being sold too up top, but wouldn't surprise us selling either Simms or Wright if the right offer comes in.

I think JDS will stay and play backup.

I think BTA and Simms will go. We cant get a better chance to get value from them.

I think Simms being sold will depend on offers for Wright though.

With prem promotion that 3-4m for Simms becomes £8m, so think it will be harder to get a profit, whereas 8/9m on Wright can easily see someone wanting to pay £20m+ for him.

If thats the case can see Simms being retained as a 2/3rd choice.

I dont think the club will see it as making profit now. They will see it as raising funds.

If we could get £7m from Simms to reinvest it is better to do that then sell wright for £15m+

If the right offers come in, I wouldn't be adverse to a complete new front line.
I think EMC has the physique and technique to be decent in the PL , and from what we've seen so far of Markelo he looks like he could progress also . LW/LWF is one area ,alongside RB , where I think we have enough already
