Langas is Derbys best CB by a mile and probably one of the few they could sell upwards for a tidy sum. Seems like a bit of a sick note though.

Yeah I’ve read some of those pages where it says best centre back in the league and a shit load of people say he is

I wouldn't have anyone from the relegated sides....there's a reason they get relegated.
I do think you will raise 10-15m in player sales and we will see a couple of marque signings in the 15 - 20m range each. One a striker, one a defender. Funded by sales and prize money for going up. New season tickets and new gate prices will be substantial also.

Didn’t we sign Rudoni from a relegated team? Huddersfield. So we shouldn’t have signed him according to you.

If Southampton don’t make it through the playoffs then I wouldn’t mind us signing Scienza. Always remember FL praising him after our game at St Mary’s. He was very impressive vs Arsenal last night.
Beating Arsenal last night made their aim of getting back to the Prem more difficult but I still think they will make it.

I think we will make discreet enquiries for Hayden Hackney but will be told by his agent that more established Premier League clubs are ahead of us.

I like him but wonder if he’s not too old to make a return on. I think we’ll go for mostly under 25s like we did with the post Gus and Vik rebuild.

You have to say that this approach worked brilliantly :

- Best team in the Championship,

- Team full of players about to reach their peak at 27 (so they say),

- Value of the squad massively greater than purchase prices.

- Two big sales from this strategy funded this season's success.

As one or two others have suggested, I think we will try to sign Leo Scienza this Summer. Think Lampard is a fan.

He can play AM as well as wing, so useful back up for Rudi.

No disrespect to Jamie Allen, who has been a great signing for us and very reliable, but this is the kind of upgrade in options we are going to need to have a good chance of staying up.

Scienza wouldn't come here as a back up to rudioni

Allen and Scienza play totally different position

Great profile for a team playing a direct style. Bet he’s on a tonne of cash though.

Delap needs a season in the premier league where he is the teams main striker, plays most weeks, scores goals etc but money and ego talks and if he moves this summer which I think he will he will end up at an established bigger club in and out of the team.

Players need better career advice but for agents one big money move to another is great business.

He had that last season, it’s what got him the move to Chelsea. And I think the assumption was he was going to be first choice.

Loan maybe or a deal that includes a buyback option for Chelsea?

I do think he'd probably end up at somewhere like Everton, as mentioned he'll be on silly money

Yeah we have more hope looking at the players who can’t get a start for the midtable teams than those from Chelsea, etc.

Someone like Rodrigo Muniz.

One season in the premier league means nothing. Look at Brightons Ferguson. Young players need time and minutes for a number of seasons not one season and bang now lead the line for one of the biggest clubs in world football. That takes a very special talent.

Sorry, just because you said “needs a season” - he’s already had ‘a’ season. Agree with the sentiment though, he needs to be somewhere he’s starting for the next 4-5 seasons, even if that is across different clubs.

Lampard and team have developed a real team spirit which is as important as anything else. I don’t think they’ll go as wholesale changes as some think. Rushworth or AN Other is a must. CH and LB. Plus a midfielder for depth. Elsewhere I think they’ll go with what we have.
