Imagine if we had a team full of Sakamoto's particularly with his work rate. Can our scouts look at more Japanese players, please? I also thought the lad at Blackburn looked quite good against us the other week. Ohashi who recently scored against Bristol City.

I didn’t realise his previous stats were actually pretty underwhelming only started playing regularly at 23 not so many goals or assists so he’s been some find !
Japanese football can be a bit different- some players choose to go the University route instead of pro youth teams and play for their uni alongside studying, then join a pro team afterwards, which is why they only start playing at 22/23 years old. Tats did that, think the likes of Mitoma and Kyogo also did similar, which is why they all broke out pretty late.

Hats off to him, he's improved his output like he needed to do. I think some of the improvement is tactical too. He wouldn't have scored or even been in the position to score Friday night's goal.
I've noticed how he comes off the wing occasionally now and pops up around the edge of the box looking to pick up the bits and pieces.
A typical example being our second goal at Wrexham.

Some names below for the scouting department. Get the chequebook out Douglas, it’s gonna be a lot of Yen!

Also I’m Japan currently so happy to go scouting for a small percentage of any fees paid. I was at Ehime FC v V Varen Nagasaki today in J2 and I can confidently say that no one in that game is worth a second look, including the big lad up top for Nagasaki called Jesus who acted like he was the second coming despite looking more like a Brazilian Lee Trundle. Might go see a J3 game tomorrow but best not hold your breath for the next Sakamoto emerging from that standard of football.

We have a group of players, Tatsu included, who are improving together, and i am of the ilke that by adding a few 'very good' players our group will become better too. They have the right 'collective' attitude and for me it's all about FL and his ability to take the guys to the next level. Tim Sherwood has already predicted we won't survive, which many doubters will, but we don't have any expectation so survival is the goal.

Sherwood two weeks ago was saying Ipswich will win the league and it’s a dogfight for who’d finish second. I think he doesn’t like us very much.

The feeling is mutual.
