What will you miss? (3 Viewers)

Won't miss fans of shite clubs like Stoke, West Brom and Birmingham posting that picture of the CBS with about 8000 fans in during an FA Cup 1st round game 12 years ago with the caption "Never ask a Cov fan where they were until a few years ago"
Haha always makes me laugh cause I can see myself in that picture. Basically had the block to myself 😂

I think we will kick off at 3pm more than people think next season - Apart from against the big sides we will not be that high up the pecking order to be on TV that much
Just had a look at Ipswich’s season in the prem to see how many they had. Home and away they had 16 out of 38.

More than I thought tbf

All the plastic fans that the Premier League attracts. The clubs social media will be unbearable if we go up, from fans who now "support" the team and the weird accounts just trolling.

We had a taste of it when we played Man Utd in the FA Cup semi final and it was painful.

If we get there…

For all those that moan about playing on a Saturday lunchtime non-stop, I will miss playing on a Saturday full stop, with a shocking amount of Sunday games in the PL now we have the CL, Europa League and Conference League.

The Premier League is the wokest league of all and a ‘product’. I will miss the hustle and bustle of the Football League and no VAR.

Unbelievable for all us that were coming back from Wembley roughly 9 years ago today, that we have gone from the cusp of League 2 to the cusp of the Premier League.

Mark Robins and Frank Lampard, thank you. Coventry legends.

I think being on the world stage is going to be kind of exhausting. We had a real siege mentality for so many years - nobody knows what's happening to us, nobody cares, nobody's fighting for us or coming to help - and it's going to be weird being on MOTD, having multiple articles about us in national outlets etc

Hopefully we do get some kind of siege mentality back especially at home games, as we'll be the underdogs again for the majority of the season.

I will miss us mainly being anonymous, bar 1-2 moments in a year where mainstream sports media decides to talk about us, we get the usual bollocks and patronising takes. I do not want to hear what fucking Jamie Carrager or Gary Neville thinks about us. At all. Ever.

That will be amplified 100x in the Premiership and we will be flooded with mediocre, half-cocked opinions on everything about the club, the players etc. And also if you think SecondTier's awful bait posting on us (and every other team, it's not personal) is annoying, just wait until we reach the Prem.

If we go up…

I’ll miss everything about this great league. The last 6 years have been incredible and I never thought I’d have four Wembley trips in last 9 years.

Top things i will miss:-

Winning regularly
Less bullshit in the media
Genuine excitement
Honest players
Looking up rather than down

These moments now are as good as it will get but going up will be a great financially if managed properly and will hopefully let us be challenging in the upper end of the Championship for years to come.

I just hope we don’t ship a load of journeymen players in and lose that fan/players bond that there currently is.

'You won't believe what Wayne Rooney thinks about Coventry City's season so far!'

This moment, this feeling.

I do wonder if this in a way is as good as it gets.

I also remember the feeling of beating United, Arsenal, Chelsea in the Premier League so I'm going to acknowledge that those moments were some of the best experiences as a Cov fan that I have had.

I just think that with having felt a million miles away from the Premier League when Mark Robins arrived for his second stint, that now being so close, having almost performed that miracle just feels incredible.

I'm savouring every moment at the minute.

Next season could be great/terrible/embarrassing.

This season has been close to perfect though.

Just enjoy the ride.

I think you're right they will only give us, in my opinion the minimum required. 🤔

I love the competitiveness of The Championship. The PL is 3 leagues in one and we are most likely to be competing with the teams in the bottom third. Lastly Carragher is a 24 carat tool and listening to him covering our games will be torture.

A bit too negative I think.

We won't win as much, but every single goal we score in the PL is going to be celebrated like the best one we've ever seen. We'll be the underdogs expected to lose each game, and be back in our rightful place as relegation dodgers.

It's been 25 years since we've been able to take a swipe at some teams.

Arguments about away tickets.
There won't be any unless you have about 2000 points or whatever. A closed shop.
If we stay in the PL for a few years no kids will have enough tickets to ever attend an away game. Is that the case?
This doesn't affect me BTW.
I can bear not going to any away games as long as I get Wembley tickets with my season ticket .... and I have no school age kids.
But it will be sad for many others.

Likely to be a proportion of tickets available to all

Why would you rather be back in the Championship than staying in the PL?

Why would it become a closed shop in the prem when it's not now?
I'd say they'll actually be more opportunities given some of the unusual kick off times, late Sunday etc.

As long as people are prepared to put a bit of effort in rather than just moaning, like the people on 2000 points had to do, they can build their points.

And if it did become a closed shop I would support calls for a proportion of tickets to go to general sale.

But away tickets aren't, and never have been, a closed shop and I don't think that will change.
