If true, can’t imagine Ipswich will be happy. Not due to the event but due to the ceo treating all the staff and supporters as mugs.
It's a full on nuclear implosion on the Ipswich boards right now, first 3 pages of the forum is around 40 different threads calling for resignations, answers, apologies, action, protests, etc..etc...
Reddit showing similar on both ipswich sub & the piss ripping on the championship sub.
I doubt Portman road will have a great atmosphere next game.
Politics talk can f off to off topic, but the impact it might have on Ipswich the next few weeks....

Yeah, what I said it's fine to talk about the impact it is having on a promotion "rival" on here without going into a discussion of the politics of Reform.

The Athletic piece makes it sound like te players aren't 100% happy which could also be a good thing.

Bristol City in the appoint Peter Reid era
Bit of an insult to Old Roy that, Reid was an incompetent clown who replaced a good man in Eric Black, signed his mates on cushy contracts and would have took us down

Roy was good manager in his day, admittedly jobs like Liverpool and England were perhaps above his ceiling but he did a fine job at Fulham, The Baggies etc. and that often gets overlooked

Doesn't not make this a strange appointment mind you

Reid's managerial record domestically was as good as Hodgson's, did well with Man City and Sunderland

Reid has a far better record in management?

Hodgson keeping Fulham up in 07/08 and getting them to a major European final within 2yrs trumps anything Reid ever did as a manager
Nonsense, Reid saved Sunderland from league 1 as it now and took them to finishing 7th multiple times. If he's managed Sunderland in Hodgson's Fulham era then he'd have had a crack at a European competition.

Reid was shite for us but it's revisionist to say he wasn't a good and successful manager before us.

Roy Hodgson was a good Prem manager but this
appointment is a desperate gambit that probably won’t work. Like when Harry Redknapp took over at Birmingham City.

Finished 5th twice with a pretty ordinary Man City team as well
