I think we have to presume EMC won’t start against Derby. Will be v interesting to see who Lampard picks insteadBecause im sad I had a look at who is playing where and when and any effect that may have on us
Looks like EMC and Joel will be a write off unfortunately

It'll be more sophisticated yet I'd think.Surely EMC and Lati will fly back in first class, sleep all the way back and sleep Thursday if they have to, should be ok for the Friday game.![]()
Not worth risk - bench, with view to play on the monday.Surely EMC and Lati will fly back in first class, sleep all the way back and sleep Thursday if they have to, should be ok for the Friday game.![]()
Not worth risk - bench, with view to play on the monday.
Lati made a Friday night game post international break against Hull a couple of seasons ago (and scored IIRC) so he might be alright
I'd imagine EMC will not be able to and will be saved for Monday. Eccles 10 and BTA left wing will probably be what we go with against Derby
I'd throw Markelo into the fray if EMC needs a rest.Lati made a Friday night game post international break against Hull a couple of seasons ago (and scored IIRC) so he might be alright

Err " not worth the risk" having a overnight sleep on an aeroplane.![]()
I have slept on a long haul flight. And I imagine our players won't be in the cheap seats with no leg room.Have you ever tried to sleep on a long haul flight?

Not in first class thenNor was I - I was in business class and the longest was 15 hours - and the sleep was shit
Lack of sleep, highly tuned athletes even in business class is not optimal, then you’ve got natural travel challenges of body being run down etc. in addition to time zones.Err " not worth the risk" having an overnight sleep on an aeroplane.![]()

Not in first class then
I only fly first classI did once on an upgrade. No difference in terms of sleep in my experience? What’s your experience?

so yes, why take risk?
It’s the combination of sleep and jet lag. It’s said that it’s easier to go east and come back west but I found it the opposite
I went to Japan once and went straight into work having landed and felt fucked. Going back not so bad.
Opposite for me when going to Brazil. Coming back I was shattered
It’s the time zones. South Africa was always fine.
Exactly - not sure people appreciate this. So yes we could roll them out, but the risk of muscle injury likely huge% higher for example. It’s the combination of sleep and jet lag. It’s said that it’s easier to go east and come back west but I found it the opposite

I don't sleep at all on planes. I remember once I was the only person awake outside of the people working on it.East to west kills me. Whether I'm coming back from Asia, or flying to the US for work. I'll get there and struggle. In the gym at 5am every morning though, so that's something.
Some people can sleep like babies on planes. I've never understood how.
