He’s not really for me and has a mistake in him always around the corner-think Norwich last season and Bristol City this year. Having said that he was out in the cold really and has came in and really added to some really good team performances when needed. Fair play to him.

If we go up, first game of the season start with Wilson, Lati and Allen. Then bring on Rushworth, Bastoni and Valverde after a minute. Then continue to beat Villa 11-0.
Because of his running style, people say he is slow. He isn't particularly quick but he isn't slow. No slower than any of our other CBs. When you see him running with the striker he rarely is outpaced. Onyeka has made a massive difference since coming in but Latibeudiere also has influenced this turnaround.

Can defend which is more than can be said for the other three. Isn’t quick, isn’t amazing in the air or on the ball but can stick to him man, get a foot in and organise himself and his partner. It’s no coincidence we’ve no let in more than one in any game he’s played this season.
Only got a year left so I think he’ll be off to a Champ club in the summer but we need whoever we get in to partner Thomas or Hughes to have similar traits.

That Swansea chance towards the end was a good example where the player just went past him, he does that a lot. He’s excellent in the air but frequently loses his man and gets his feet in a mix when being ran at. He’s not as bad as Woolfenden or Kitching but he’s not as good as Lats. He has Kitching’s issue but not to the same extent of having a rush of blood to the head too.

Hes 100% better than lati , thats why he will play PL for us and lati will in your own words go back to the championship

He’s great at other stuff but the basics of defending he needs a partner to help him out. I wouldn’t be surprised if we sign Hughes and Thomas is backup or if we keep him depending on what we decide to spend. I don’t think either is a PL CB TBH.

Ive just watched luke o nien have a tremendous second half as sunderland beat newcastle and thomas is miles ahead of him
Hughes is part of one of the worst defences in the league too btw (4th worst )
I think lati has qualities which are good for the team , and its why lampard plays him hes the fadz figure to keep them composed at the back

I think Thomas is outstanding in their air in both boxes, he just scares the life out of me when he’s being run at or when he’s got to defend his box.
Thomas and Kitching were at one point giving out two goals a game in a dominant top of the table team which for me is far more egregious.

Both teams missed 3 ‘big’ chances, just like last season, there wouldn’t have been any complaints if we scored a 4th or 5th goal.
The second half was professional, at 3-0 it was done and dusted at HT.

We know but at what stage do you recognise that the way we set up and played influenced that ? Lampard even acknowledges early season they were playing well .
You also are yet to acknowledge the difference onyeka has made to the dynamic of the team and how its added to our defensive resolve
There is no way lati doesnt get destroyed either playing how we were mid season
We have the leagues 3rd best defensive record

Since onyeka has come in weve conceded 5 goals in 8 games , we have had kitching , wolf , thomas and lati play in those 8 games .
All have done well in fairness , we are a better side with onyeka
Lati has done well i think he deserves credit

I think both adding a second out and out DM and having a CB who can defend have helped tighten us up. Fact is the only game we’ve let two in recently had Onyeka starting and not Lats.

Im trying my best to have a reasonable debate with you .
I think you make some good points on things sure but with this reply to me you reacted and spat it out a bit
