Chris davis probably isnt the man to get them to the next level in fairness

They have 18 points from 20 away games , maybe too cautious

I don’t like the bloke, came across as an arrogant tosser in the documentary. But I also think he’s been promised some kind of Championship dream team and ended up with Jack Robinson and Jonathan Panzo at the back.

As has been said, their recruitment has been dire pound-for-pound. Their season hasn’t been that bad all things considered; just expectation has run away with the club owing to their spending habits and PR messaging of their c**t owner.

'someone deeply invested in the identity, direction and future of Birmingham City Football Club'.

Translation- I've got a peaky blinders cap.

That statement is even funnier if you read it in their daft accent.

For what my 50 pence is worth , i actually appreciate other fans input on here , thats one thing the sunderland fans forum does well apart from when our lot post on there .

I like boro and your fans , its not arse licking i just do .

But sadly i fear you are going to miss out because ultimately i just dont think you have enough quality in the final 3rd consistently

I want you and millwall to come up with us ( i think its done for us ) for what its worth
I gotta feeling Boro will get second. But so much depends on getting a striker some confidence

Nope it will be Ipswich - and Southampton win Playoffs - both these teams beat us at CBS for a reason
Yet we've done the double over Southampton, (agg score 5-1) and are thus far beating Ipswich 2-1.

Your prediction of course could be right, anything is possible.

But it would be fractionally down to beating you at the CBS, that's just a small part of their points totals. Neither are Norwich and Oxford going to finish top six on the grounds of getting a draw there. The championship throws up all kinds of results, which is one of the beauties of it.

If you’re Birmingham, when do you question if the yanks who have taken you over have any clue what they are doing.

In essence took the club over in 5th, got them relegated, spent a huge amount of money and brought them back to mid table championship.

How does that inspire any trust that these lot know what they are doing in the slightest especially with the ridiculous expectations. When you consider the money spent compared to someone like us or Millwall it’s actually ludicrous.

Say what you will about Wrexham, but the owners have some clever people advising them imo
It's difficult to buy your way to promotion to the Prem, especially if you have just got promoted to the Championship. First aim is to become a mid table side with a chance of the playoffs. Second season go for a playoff squad. Each season you have sides coming down from the Prem. 3rd season you have to do recruitment with FFP in mind.

Did you think we would win yesterday? It's very likely we will win 3 or 4 of our remaining games, much more likely than Ipswich winning all theirs
Why does everyone think Ipswich will win all their games?? Just because they did a job on us doesn't mean they can translate that into every game they play. They will get blown up by fixture congestion and if they get to the FA cup semis their games will be on reserving their best players and not injuring them. ALA Coventry form after the Wolves quarter final.

Southampton are a good side who were hampered by a terrible managerial appointment.

I think they’ll win the playoffs

Don’t disagree.

Look at the way we’ve done it, it takes time and a clear plan and identity.

Think the reason I’m critical is their owners seem to be on a different planet. Demanded top two this year, spent a fortune on absolutely doss and don’t get me started on the arena.

Not to mention them asking to have a game in America last year (think it was a league one match against Wrexham).

Is this Ipswich FA Cup thing a forum in-joke that I’m missing? They went out in the 4th round.

Or to put it another way, I think if just the one of us 3 gets 4 points from the fixtures between us, that side is in the driving seat.

If 2 get 4 points or none of us get 4 points from those games (ie all draws) then it is much more open.

But yeah, if we manage to beat Millwall the confidence injection would quite potentially be huge and perhaps reignite our charge, (much the same as your beating us at the CBS did with yourselves)
I said to you all along beat Ipswich and Millwall and you will be promoted

Apologies I thought they were still in it! What dumb ass i am. However I think all their games having to be rearranged because of the FA Cup games and shit weather for the opposition has caused the fixture congestion.

I think our fans overrated them when they beat us .. we were the better side and should have been 2 up at HT .. football doesnt work that way but i think boro are a better side
I know its been said and no i don't care greatly as us getting promoted is all i really care about, but taking my CCFC goggles off and viewing the Championship as a whole, it would be really disappointing if after a season of the parachute teams being largely underwhelming, 2 of them went and got promoted anyway.
Ipswich and Southampton are also a massive shower of cunts so that would make it doubly disappointing.

You’re not the only person I’ve seen say it, I thought I was missing the joke! But their games vs Southampton has been moved because Southampton are still in the cup.

Oh they've certainly got a decent squad and they're on a great run right now. At the moment, it's hard to see them not doing such well.

But their fixtures are a little more cramped and 3 of their 7 fixtures are also against sides in the top 6 and autos fight. I was also curious (given those 3 fixtures for them) as to see how they generally fared against sides in the playoff and autos mix.

As you say, Will Still's obvious mismanaged side cannot be held up as any benchmark to how they perform now, so I've included just the 6 games against sides in the autos/playoffs hunt now that they played under Tonda, with the first being Millwall, some 3 weeks into the current regime. And it makes for perhaps surprising reading...Their record is W1D2L3, the victory against you at the CBS will understandably be the one that sticks in your mind, but it's their ONLY one in such games under TE. Every other side in and around the top 6 they scraped draws against or were soundly beaten. Their defence typically leaks like a sieve too, with just the one clean sheet in the return fixture at home against Millwall.

Granted their current run sees them W8D2L0 in the last 10 mainly against sides wearing flipflops, their form is exhilarating. But all form has to end.

As for us, in Typical Boro shades, I've discounted our results against yourselves and Sheff Wed, on the grounds of the respective sides being above the norm and below the norm of other sides at their respective ends of the tables, ie returning wins and losses in the way you would expect, and focused on the 6 other sides we can play at both ends (ie, those with a chance of relegation and those feasibly in the top 6 and autos mix)

A glaring stat reveals itself that we tend to fare far more garbage than we should against the sides at the bottom (W3D6L2) than we do against sides around the top (W5D2L2) which at least bodes well for our games against the Wall, Ipswich and Wrexham, assuming of course that our misfiring strikers manage to find the net in the meantime of course!

Birmingham owners clearly have no idea what they're doing.

Ipswich have such a schedule of games

After the international break they are playing...

Monday, then Saturday, then Tuesday, then Sunday, then Wednesday then Saturday, then Tuesday and then Saturday

2 games a week all the way through to the end.

It's tough ask, especially at this time of the season, when they will already be tired
