My MOTM yestetday even ahead of Grimes. Lots of important intevrntions. Surprising pace and dexterity to get that cross in.

Having someone a level above must do a lot to drive standards from the others, you can see a lot of other players have taken things up a level since he arrived.

I have to admit I underestimated what he could bring to the team. He has been so important for us with the break up of play and limiting the opposition

Agree with the above about his attacking abilities, pleasantly surprised as I thought he was just brought in to be the disrupter and then play it to Grimes. His quick feet in a tight area and burst of pace before his deflected shot in the first half was superb!

An impressive 7 wins from 8 games with him in the side...good work Frank
Even the Saints game defeat, we were really competitive, and on another day, could/should have won that - GK Peretz on loan from Bayern, had a great game.
If Rushworth in unavailable next year, he might be a good shout ?

The way he anticipates, intercepts and hustles has added so much steel to our midfield. But yesterday showed his attacking prowess as well. A proper all action midfield performance. He’s also integrated really quickly into the group. Great character as well.

It’s almost looks like he plays within himself to do his job for the team but then you see flashes of top quality technical ability. Great player. As mentioned above, fair play to Doug, went out there and delivered exactly what we needed at the right time

The bit on the right where he knocked the ball past his man and ran on to it for the cross was premier league. Absolute classic.
I thought that was class as well!

Watching Millwal and Cooper their CB is a beast and fuck all gets past him! Certainly worth looking at in my opinion.

What Onyeka does is he allows us to only play 2 central midfielders and 4 attackers in the 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 systems. Grimes and Torp was far too open and Torp can't do what Onyeka can do, i.e. running round the pitch, putting tackles in, fouling in 'good areas'.

We no longer get ran through in the middle of the pitch and it actually takes the opposition to make good passes to cut us open. Go and watch our games away at Norwich and QPR compared to the games where Onyeka plays, the difference is night and day.
