Trump doesn’t understand de-escalation just threat after threat
As I say, it’s his way but by pointing the finger at Israel/Netanyahu he’s trying to contain something that’s getting out of his control

The other issue is Iran’s military actions are delegated heavily to local commanders who often act on their own initiative. You can try to make a deal with their superiors but that’s not actually any guarantee the subordinates will listen.
I’m sure he actually just wants to declare victory (ie admit defeat) and leave but his Israeli handlers won’t let him.

He needs to find an escape route from somewhere, were he can pin the blame on someone else.

Nobody has a problem with taking out Khamenei and the regime.

That’s my point - it doesn’t - energy bills are frozen anyway until June and the government policy can if it wants easily control fuel charges. It just chooses not to.

Just because there is a moral issue it doesn’t follow that there is a course of action that can make things better.
Add in the complexities of energy provision worldwide and you have to make extremely difficult decisions that will be morally repugnant based on our world view
You are doing what it appears trump and the evangelical right wing of Christianity would have you believe that all decisions are binary and good v evil when it’s way more nuanced than that
