Guess it depends on how serious the injury is…. Grade 1 recovery is around 2-weeks, Grade 2 is normally 3-6 weeks. Hopefully it’s the former, and the international break gives Haji the chance to recover. We definitely need Rudi back asap.

Wright only scored twice against our remaining opponents in the reverse fixtures. Pen at derby and one in the 5-0 at Wednesday. And we took 19 points from those games.

Hopefully his withdrawal/non selection in the USA squad is purely precautionary. We can't really suggest he's not fit for international duty but have him in the squad tomorrow. I suspect if this were the last couple of games and something to still to play for, he would be available.

I think judging by what Pochettino has said about Haji in the recent past he still has an excellent chance of making the WC squad. He has a better chance if he comes back in and rattles in the goals in the last few games than if he had been called up for these friendlies and come back tired or worse.

I think there is a genuine fitness issue, but hopefully a minor one. It may actually work out better for him to miss tomorrow's game rather than the two Easter games due to travel.
