Sorry bud, but putting you on ignore. Like discussing with people who disagree, but you just seem incapable on providing anything worthwhile or engaging.
No worries. Feel free to un ignore when you feel more comfortable about our position. Its tiring seeing you doom monger constantly.

To my mind, Harry, I think Blackburn away could prove trickier than Derby at home.

Sometimes it's better to play teams nearer the top than down at the bottom, where they can fight tooth and nail for every single blade of grass
Blackburn just beat Millwall away. I know there was a red card in the second half for Millwall, but they weren't exactly coasting it before the card.

I think in these remaining games we need to be canny and play to keep our points total ticking up. On Saturday the ball kept going sideways. I don't think our CHs or Grimes could see the forward pass options they usually do because Southampton packed out the midfield, because Rudoni wasn't there etc. Whatever tactics are needed over the next few games, let's be smart and use them even if it's not our best or preferred game. We have played some of the best football in the championship, proper exciting, pacy, imaginative football. We should do that first and foremost but If it isn't possible because of the other team's tactics, best players or timewasting, let's be effective and bank at least a point. If the answer on Saturday is to keep Vipotnik quiet, then how do we do that? Priority number 1

Saints manager said they stopped Grimes so stopped us. If you'd have said that pre January strengthening I would probably agree. However, that's a bit simplistic and I think we've wised up the that now. I just think it was one of those days where Grimes and Onyeka weren't at there best and as you say, we missed Rudoni against decent opposition.

Missed chances too

We were unlucky not to get at least a point Saturday but the defeat will eradicate any complacency that may have been growing in the camp after the mid week results. Fully expect Frank to be hammering this message home to the players all week and they come out flying on Saturday and do the business. Regardless of how the chasing pack gets on, if win here we go into the international break in a fantastic position

I'd take a point to get ticking again tbh, especially with the injuries it appears we have. Think we'll beat Derby after that anyway and kick on again.
Sheff Utd had been on a somewhat ridiculous home run before Boro and us won there, so I won't completely write off the chances of a win here. But the injuries tip the balance for me as you say for taking a point.

A return of 5 points from the next 3 games I'd be happy with.

Would settle for 4 tbh, with the next set of 3 games looking favourable.

With 8 games left I’m looking at it more in two game chunks. I want 3 points from every two games. Partly because that would get us to the points total needed, but also it keeps any pressure off if we win every other game.
We’d need less than that for promotion, IMO.

Anyone else think Saturday was a repeat of the Ipswich game, just felt a bit flat, like we thought we just had to turn up,players and crowd ?

If Thomas is still out I'd go 3 at the back with Bidders rather than Woolfie. I thought Tats was unable to break out from Southampton's grip, so would be inclined to give Esse a start.

Happy with a point.

We had a lot more chances on Saturday and the game was much more even.

We seemed a bit in awe of Ipswich.
Could be right, probably a totally different game if we played it again, maybe just comparing it to the mboro game and why we couldn’t get to that level again, was just as big a game Saturday
