This is currently the maximum points each promotion contender can get.

Our current maximum is 101 points

Boro can get to 94 points, but to do that they have to beat Ipswich and Millwall, but then Ipswich could only get 92 and Millwall 89. If Boro draw one of those games and win the other they are down to a maximum of 92

Ipswich can get 95 points if they beat Boro and Millwall but that would mean Boro's maximum is 91 and Millwall's is 89

Millwall can get 92 if they beat Boro and Ipswich but that would mean Boro getting a maximum of 91 assuming Boro beat Ipswich, who would then be on 89

If Ipswich and Boro draw and they both beat Millwall that is worst case scenario, with Ipswich on a maximum of 93 and Boro on a maximum of 92, with Millwall back on 86

If Ipswich win all their games they will be on 95 but Boro will be on maximum of 91 and Millwall on maximum of 89 depending on their result against Boro.

So worst case scenario for promotion is 93, or with a superior GD 92, however this is highly likely to reduce with future results.

Looking at the fact they play each other and fixtures they each have, Ipswich are just about in the driving seat ahead of Borough. Millwall are after today very unlikely to achieve it.
Ipswich at best will haul in 18/19 points for me. Boro' could do the same with a great run, but unlikely. Both would need fantastic runs to achieve that, again unlikely. But if they did.....we just need 13/14 points to top the table. More likely 12 points to get promoted.
Hull are in danger of dropping out the top 6. Southampton on course to make it from here. Might be at the xpense of Wrexham.
In truth it's a lot clearer after today.
The big fight is between Ipswich and Boro'. The pressure on them will be incredible, likely helping our cause. Personally for us, I think it's all over before ourlast two games.

At the other end Leicester are in deep trouble. Todays bottom three look the likely losers.

To get to 86 points, taking our superior goal difference.they would need to better our 86 points.
Sky Blues need to win 3 out of 8 games.
Boro need to win 6 out of 8 games
Millwall need to win 6 out of 8 games
Ipswich need to win 6 out of 9 games.
Now Ipswich v Millwall
Boro v Milwall
Boro v Ipswich.

Think we might need 4. Can see ONE of the teams winning 6/8 for sure. Maybe both Boro and Ipswich

I'm thinking in terms of the title too btw

That would mean they go faultless outside of playing each other and millwall?

Can’t see that
How many r we expecting Ipswich to lose out of next 8 would be my follow up to that though? 2 losses out of 8 might be best we can hope for. We just put 6 game winnings streak on, they are capable too

have they put a 6 game winning streak on this year? at this stage they can’t even be drawing
