I really don’t want to have to leave early. Especially if it’s tense.

Obviously the roads are closed from a certain time. If I was to stay until nearer the end / the actual end - where is the best / easiest / most viable place I could get an uber from?

probably the Burger King and turn left towards town. I left 5 mins early Wednesday and was home from car park C in 15 mins - normally takes 45

the thing you get with BTA and not Eccles is a high tempo press, and that leads to mistakes and turnovers

Eccles has been good when he’s come on to see games out, but in my opinion not what we need at home in a game like today’s, and Grimes / Frank in midfield is enough cover
Yeah. I love Eccles, but BTA is a bleedin nuisance isn't he and I think you need that sometimes to disrupt the opposition and put pressure on the back four.

I wouldn't mind either in today, but am well aware of what BTA offers, can bring fruitful returns.

The thing about football is that it is just so predictable. Just follow the form guides and you can work out the result in advance.

We’ll lose 🙁

Looks like we’ll win 😊

Looks like a draw 🤔

🤷‍♂️

I now remembered why I didn't like them. That Nigel Adkins was such a jumped up twat.

His 'little Scunthorpe' speech back in the day gave me second hand embarrassment.

One very serious low point of the SISU era was the game at Southampton in the Champ relegation season. They were going up to the Prem, we were going into oblivion. It’s not quite full circle but Ia win today would be annothrr big reminder of our incredible turn around. City boys on a bender, we’re going up with Frank Oneyka. Come on!!!

I would have thought Lati would come back in too, he was doing very well, unless he'll punish him for getting sent off. Kitching and Woolfenden did well against Preston but it a minimal challenge. I reckon I'd go Lati and Kitch myself.

If we’d gone for Robins rather than Thorn, we’d have stayed up that season.

Yup this game I continue to think about. But in a good way now. I was so jealous of their fans celebrating on that sunny day. Thinking please let it be us one day

And now here we are so close to that

It’s harsh on Lati but I think you keep Kitch/Woolf at the back.

And promotion in the bag by Easter Monday...
A lot different to when I was a teenager when we often needed a couple of wins over Easter to have a cat in hell's chance of staying up. 😁

Is Southamptons team much changed? Interested in how many minutes their starting 11 played this week to see how fresh they are.

Get a grip you lot, it’s only Southampton. They’re not even in the top six. I bet a lot of of these worriers would be scared of Sheffield Wednesday too.
Until the sending off we were dominating them at their place.
The only times we’ve come unstuck common was when we’ve given teams too much respect, like against Ipswich, when our smaller squad was ravaged by illness.
There is a reason that we are top and you will see it today.
5-0. Haji becomes top scorer and yet another clean sheet for Rushworth.
We’re not called the mighty sky blues for nothing.
They're not in the top 6 because they started with a manager without the experience needed in the Championship. They are undefeated in their last 11 games, and just 2 games ago they won at Fulham to get into the QF of the FA cup.

This game won't be as easy as many seem to think. It's only because of our home form that I think we can win this.

BTA will be on for the last 30 mins but he is more flexible being able to cover Eccles, Wright or EMC. Also he is not quite 100% match fit, he may even be carrying that foot injury he had in Feb still.

Team as expected. Southampton team nothing to be scared of, especially without Scienza.
Think we win this.

Saints fans not happy

“Away to top of the league without our best LB, CF and LW (best player).

Where is the width to get crosses into Larin?

Where is the pace to counter?”

These injuries and Fellows low confidence have not come at a good time! Does seem like Tonda is playing this one not to lose, let’s see.

Our whole squad looks better than theirs nevermind just the 11.
I said at the start of the season their team looked underwhelming for the investment its had in it. That one aged well.

No this won’t be easy but none of them are when you’ve become the team to beat. We need to be as ‘ On it ‘ as we were on Wednesday night.
