Everyone knew and acknowledged that the xmas run of fixtures was horrendous on paper....

Then still completely shat their pants when (surprise surprise) we had the expected downturn in form.

I think we will all deal with a title chasing season much better in future should it happen again

Im at the point where im thinking about city 24/7 and if im honest its doing my head in 😂
I used to think about city way too much even when we were complete dog shit tbf. These thoughts are far more pleasing 😆

I didnt spout bile

I was pissed off we let a 13 point lead slip within 5 weeks and looked bereft of confidence and how to turn things round. Let's not rewrite history here, its a fact

Its all champagne and blowjobs now and long may it continue, but I stand by the post when I made the thread
No mate you chatted shit. Just own it

You(and others on here) bottled it, not the players.

I said before this game, 5 at the back..I watched their last 2 games, superb on the break. Do Cov coaches not watch other teams? We have been poor since November, time for a different system. If wingers need time on the bench, so be it. Grind out points. It is like we play a 2 4 4. No idea what Frank watched in that first half..so lucky to be 1 up. Mason Clarke, Assante poor. Esse is a 10, not a right winger. Wright did okay, but Simms is scoring goals for fun when he starts , 10.in 13. Is Wright technically the better play? Without a doubt, but we need goals...or even play both and do long ball.

You still posting on here m8

You did… we had a poor run away from home, that was it. Whilst there were some bad performances and results (QPR was a lowlight for me), some of the performances deserved better results.

Our advantage has always been our home form and the toughest remaining games are generally at home. It was the same last season and remained true this campaign.

Norwich wasn’t that bad, it was QPR (a) where my nerve was being tested and Oxford (h) made it worse.

Somewhat contradictory, I was confident we were going to beat Boro to retake top spot. In this league, I back us to beat anyone, bar Ipswich, we’ve more or less been the best team in each and every home game.

Hull, Norwich, Oxford all could have and should have been wins.

It was how open we were that was worrying ...
Looking back it was silly to flap

We were shit away for 3 months.
Some said we needed back up wide players, (I wasn't one but they were right).

I said Grimes needed help, the January signings proved Lampard agreed.
Thank you, I will claim this one because I got stick from my mates as well as here for saying we needed wingers rather than a striker.

The big thing was that Lampard has tweaked his tactics because it’s fair to say that in Jan-Feb, we were too open and it was exploited. Were feared much more to winning the ball back because Grimes/Torp/Onyeka remain as a bank of 2 and the back four actually maintains a 4 man shape most of the time.

Many of us have said things about lampard , truth is its hard to come into a club after somebody like robins .

I had doubts even this season but really ive never experienced anything like this its all new to me , and us .

Reality is hes outperforming all expectations and is going to cement himself as one of our greatest ever managers , we dont go up like this with anybody else ..its him and his team that have made us the force we are today and he deserves all the plaudits and all the respect from us all .

He will forever be a legend here now

We all say silly things but we all want the same thing

Weve got to back him no matter what next season
Outperforming all expectations? Really?

He's let us down quite a bit, because if he was a really good manager, we wouldn't have lost a single game all season and would already be over 100 points and 100 goals and have only let 5 goals in all year

There's still room for improvement.

I said at the time we needed wide cover as well as an energetic CDM and name dropped Onyeka.

Despite bed wetting, I proved I knew the fix. Im grateful Lampard and King listened to me!

I was @‘d in my group chat basically saying my confidence was fake, it wasn’t. I would have been a lot more concerned had we dropped more points at home.

Away form doesn’t get you up, most promoted teams don’t hit 2.0 ppg away from home, it’s closer to 1.7-1.8. It’s the home form that gets you up which Boro are painfully finding out.

2.47 ppg at home is 56.8 points over 23 games, that’s nearly playoffs without winning a single away tie.

I didn't say at the time to go for Onyeka, because I had no idea who he was and had never heard of him. Same goes for Esse, Yang and Markelo.

I wanted players I HAD heard of ...your Linekars and Shearers and Owens and Haalands.

But didn't they not listen to me? No they didn't not. 😡

If we were to win 3 games before the end of the year. How likely do you think that would be for automatics.

Gives us a great chance which is so weird

Am I right in thinking 6 wins mathematically has us promoted as it stands right now?

That's if 2 rival team wins 100 percent of games now

So more like 4-5 wins will do it but if they shit the bed possibly 3

Edit of your on about pre blip. Never mind

No no I'm on about from this point onwards.

If we were to win the next 3, we'd be on 86, if

Milwall get LDD
Boro get LLD
Ipswich LDL

That would have Boro on 70 with 18 left to play for
Milwall 70 with 18 left to play for
Ipswich on 66 with 21 left to play for.

Therefore it would basically be it :O
