We do, but we can still struggle against well organized sides who sit deep against us.
To be fair, we may have struggled to smash teams, but when you look at our home record this season, we haven't really 'struggled'. All 3 of the drawn games, we should have won. Only the home game against Ipswich was a deserved defeat. With the right attitude this evening, we should be confident of a positive result.

Nothing on their forums or post match stuff about him being injured. Their fans naming him in their predicted lineups for Wrexham this weekend

They’ve won one in 10 and have a depleted squad. It’s a team we should beat
Not same as awful in my book

We can't always talk about how anyone can beat anyone in this league whilst at same time saying teams are awful and we should win comfortably

Oxford are relegation zone but shown many times this season against us and others that they are not awful.

Preston might be on a bad run but they were on playoff convo not long ago so no chance I would call them awful team

I honestly think this will be a very tough game and I am not convinced we will take advantage of Ipswich's slip up last night.

We are not going to keep winning every single game. It's just so unlikely and Preston will be physical and try and disrupt tonight .

I don't think we can just say it's going to be easy. Might prove to be, but we may need to score early on.

You also can't just say Oxford beat them last Friday, so we should beat them tonight. Football doesn't just work like that. Port Vale just beat Bristol City and Sunderland. 🤷🏻‍♂️ It just so often
doesn't work that way and anyone is capable of beating anyone.

I just have niggly doubts about this one tonight and I don't think it's just going to be pain sailing

I would also think that this is probably not a game for Esse against a very physical Preston side. If he's fit and you want to counter that physicality, you play Saka

Hard to predict. Heart obviously says the City, but head is telling me either a 0-0, or shock horror, a smash and grab Preston win.

And I am half expecting a red card
If I could help, I would, but I think you're beyond it.

Weirdly, I feel more confident about beating Soton than I do Preston.

Even though we're at home, I have a feeling Preston are going to provide a bigger challenge than Bristol City did at their own ground last weekend

Early goal, these will fold and we end up putting 3 or 4 past them - Longer it stays at 0-0 the more the crowd get frustrated and the players get nervous the more chance PNE will have

Least Callum Lang can't torment us again, out for the foreseeable with a hamstring tear

E for B and John O'Rourke

One for the teenagers
I remember him, and have told the tale of when we went to Crewe away ( in a blizzard) and a bloke stopped us in the street, on the way to the ground. ' Cov fans?' says the bloke. 'Yes', say we.. ' Heard of John O'Rourke?' ..yes again. Pulls out cards from wallet, showing his name ..' John O'Rourke' Kept us talking for 5minutes in a snowstorm, before revealing that although that was his name, he wasn't the 'actual one' Mildly pissed off at the pointlessness of the interaction!!

5 blocks unsold with about 250 - 300 tickets in it
Hospitality sold out
is hospitality sold out though, doesn't it just go off sale a few days before the match? it would be incredible if the marketing team have got it all done for a midweek against preston. obvs would be happy to be wrong though.

I'd take the worst lucky 1-0 win ever in this one.

They normally have our number so 3 points is more important than anything else.

I'm not convinced we've opened as much of block 9 as we do when it's looking like it will sell-out so that's probably another 150.

So maybe 500 away from a home sell-out. So if Preston have sold 1K we could still be looking at 30K. Incredible again.

Maybe it is the opposite to some on here, but I am feeling a lot more relaxed about tonight. If we win that's probably about 25% of the remaining needed work done to achieve our goal. In short, a huge step forward on the final push.

Other teams are flapping, we've smashed through the clouds and broken out of our dodgy spell. We look genuinely a lot better in the last set of games too, it isn't just a few lucky results.

I feel confident we can get the 3 points tonight.
