It would be just like us to lose tonight and then beat Southampton. Ive got a horrible feeling that Preston will just sit back all game frustrating us as we try to break them down and its either going to be a 0-0 or a last minute loss by a goal from their only attack of the game. Hope Im wrong

It's certainly got that banana skin type feel to it hasn't it. It all points to a victory and quite an easy one at that, but it's just the sort of game where we could well end up frustrated, or slip up completely.

Think we'll have too much for PNE. They've got nothing to play for so 3 points again.
Carry the positive momentum on to Saturday and a monster of a game.
We'll be even more up for that than we were for Boro, knowing that another win pretty much makes us uncatchable.

A massive 4 days coming up.

That makes me more nervous - if that's possible :ROFLMAO:

I share Otis' anxiety about this one. I often get this feeling when it feels like another win would be too good to be true. A win would be so great and losing points would not be a disaster.
Everyone is constantly predicting how many wins we need to get promoted so if it is 5/6 then we will therefore have 5/4 draws or defeats which means we mustn't lose our minds if we fail to win tonight.
I have a tendency to avoid the forum if we don't win because I can't stand the negativity that comes after, it makes me more negative.

I'm usually pretty cautious but I can't see anything else than home win tonight. We're brilliant at home, and since we've recovered from the wobble (which now in hindsight doesn't look so bad) I really think we'll have too much for them, especially at home.

Rush
MVE Kitch Woolf DaSilva
Grimes Torp
Esse BTA EMC
Hadj

EMC got pulled off after the red card against BCFC, also a chance to give Saka a rest before Saturday...

Edit: I probably wouldn't start Onyeka if he's not 100%, we'll need him more on Saturday.
Edit2: Eccles could start again in the 10, he had a good game on Saturday. Just shows how strong the squad is now.

How many times have Preston been shocking and still shocked us?

They are a good defensive side and capable of making it very difficult for us. They are also good at boxing you in, despite their league position. Their goals F and A have draws written all over it, which is probably why they are where they are.
Of course. And its the Championship, most games are settled by the odd goal etc.

However, we are massive odds on favourites to win and rightly so.

Point is not really any good to PNE, anything other than a win and they can kiss goodbye to any outside chance of the play offs

Yeah, true, but that's not to say it will still stop them defending deep.and hoping to catch us with a sucker punch on the break.

We win tonight, comfortably. 2 up by HT again. 2nd half will be quiet, slow and people will be leaving by 80 mins - WHICH IS FINE!

We win Saturday, more of a challenge clearly, but more entertaining, we go 1 or 2 down. Crowd gets up for it. Frank gives it to the away fans again.

It's going to be a bit like Oxford, unless we score early. Labouring against a packed defence. We have not been all that good in that instance lately (see also Swansea).

For that reason, play the strongest team - all that rotation stuff is hugely over-egged on here. Frank and Kitching in for Lati and Eccles. If I was to tinker, BTA for Torp.

Order JDS & MVE on pain of death to get their arses to the byline and get some crosses in - like JDS at Bristol. Best way to beat a packed defence is go round the flanks.

Batter them

I haven't said we are not considered favourites.
