Are you that deep into forum politics that you can’t even appreciate a moment of skill from one of our own players?

Er I was responding to a comment - seems you seem pretty deep into it yourself

What did you think of his assist G Dawg

It was fine. As I say I didn’t go and am referencing other views of an overall display during the game.

Still you seem to have engaged the services of Basildons finest so I guess I’d better stay away

He's not terrible at defending at all; what he is is exposed against pace and balls over the top; his positional play could also be better.

He's usually pretty good defensively against technical-type wingers, and I think, regardless of his imperfections as a player, it'd be very hard to argue that he's not had a very positive season for us and expect to be taken seriously.

Out of interest, Whoscored made him MoM yesterday, for whatever that's worth.

Haven't seen him comment on it so not sure what you're on about.

Interesting that you didn't deny being either of those things though.

As I said I didn’t see the game - so observing ratings - Steve made Bidwell man of the match

I've watched the highlights a few times, and the ball from Woolfenden to Latibeaudiere gets worse with each viewing. Riis read the situation brilliantly and was closing Lati down long before the pass was made.

Riis knows Lati's slow and he's on him . I don't blame Woolfenden for that . Lati has a weakness and we all know it. You can't blame his team mate for giving him a pass because he might not deal with it quick enough.

Woolfenden should have seen that the pad wasn't on. And Lati should have just wellied it away.

Don’t think the pass was that bad, do think generally the passing at the back is bad though. Both long and short. Other than Dasilva we never seem to work it forwards effectively from the back unless it’s a CM dropping deep. I honestly can’t remember the last time MvE played it past his man.

He wouldn't necessarily be conversant with Lati's short comings you would think.

no fucking chance woolfenden wears that one.

Shocking by Lati. He’s not scanned before receiving the ball and he’s slow as fuck to react. You would expect your centre half to be able to receive this ball with that much time and space, and then pass it on to the left back

Calm down lads. We've won another game and are clear at the top. We don't need a post mortem every time a player makes a mistake. Lati is one of our reserve players for a reason. Good enough to play for us where needed, saves us with some of his tackles but he isn't a top Championship defender. We're now a top Championship side with top Championship players so it stands out a little.
