Thought we looked leggy first 30 & Onyeka omission was clear, but we did what all good teams do & take our chances. The timing of the 2nd goal was key as it seemed to take the wind out of their sails, and we managed the 2nd half really well and should have got a 3rd which would have been the icing on the cake.

Everyone was about 7/10 bar Grimes who I thought outstanding in the middle of the park, won everything and kept it tidy in possession. Special mention to Rushworth for that save at the end, watched the highlights back this morning and was better than seeing it in person.

A minimum of 4 points from the next 2 and I think it’s done.

Anyone still think Sinclair Armstrong would be a good signing.... 🤣😂🤣😂 Their fans around me absolutely hated him
Were you one of the Cov fans in the home end? At the end of the game, someone flashed their Cov top to the away fans! 😂

Agreed on Armstrong but this was evident for a long time and Tyrese Campbell who many on here admired.

Watching the brief highlights back, what was going on during our first goal celebration? A BC player seemed to break into the "circle". What was that all about?

Nipped in the home end today after I remembered I had a Bristol login from some event I went to years ago. Away end was so loud, really lively, a real credit to the club.

Such an important win, bit soft from Lati but we got away with it, that Haji goal absolutely flawed Bristol.

Sitting with the home fans was a good reminder that there are miserable clueless nobs at every club! on their own players backs from minute 1, shouting forward at every opportunity 😂

Moment of the day was Dasilva's assist, this proper gobby bloke had been on his back all match calling him a useless midget, when Jay skinned a couple of their defenders and picked out Tats he was raging "shit his entire time here and now he turns into prime Carlos" 👌

I was in home end too - right at the back. Similar to you: bloke called DaSilva a 'poisoned Welsh dwarf who can't play football' just seconds before he beat 2 defenders and delivered that cross for the goal!!! I managed not to laugh out loud at him when it went in... just.

I was but that wasn't me, I stayed quiet until the celebrations at the end. There were a fair few dotted around, some younger lads got moved on for being a bit obvious.

Oddly in my block after the final whistle some Asian lads called over Markelo and had a chat, seemed to know eachother, the stewards got a bit shitty with them.

I went the route of saying 'God were shit' fit right in 😄 I think going in the home end in a tighter game or one we lose must be way harder

Football has changed since the old days.

Rushworth's contract with Brighton is coming to an end. They can't make him sign another one and can't make him sign for a certain club. He loves playing for us and stated he would love to sign for us permanently at the end of the season. It's clear where Rushworth sees his future and why wouldn't he?
If Brighton want him as their #1 and give him a pay rise to match then he will stay there.

We won't get him for a pittance, but he would be so important for us that it would be worth a decent fee to sign him. He knows coming to us would put him as No.1 for the first time in his career at a club where everyone adores him.
Rushworth has 2 more years on his contract with Brighton

Not a lot then. If they wanna keep him they will need to give him a new contract soon and he will want to be the starter

If they are not willing to offer that he might do one season as back up but then will be going into final year of contract with less value for a sale

If they sell their current first choice they’d be pretty daft to go and spend big on a replacement when they have him ready to go.

I decided to join in loudly with the pre match 'Always believe in... Thatcher's Gold, Gold!' chant as I love the stuff and there were some obvious nutters at the back of the stand who I wanted to deceive into thinking I was Bristol :) I applauded Bristol City efforts on target... i.e great saves by Rushworth (that last one late on was absolutely superb, he anticipated where the ball would go). And I shook my head a lot when Bristol players made mistakes (not because I disapproved, I just couldn't believe how poor their first touch was).
