Record Breakers (1 Viewer)

I've lost track of the club and league records that we've broken over the last 12-18 months, so wondered if people could remind me so I can feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Consecutive clean sheet record broken, I think it was most goals in the first 3 Championship games, quickest to 50 goals in 60-odd years. Which others did we manage to beat?

Club record wins in 10 games last season, which we then broke this season with most wins in 11 games

I wonder what our season record is for average attendance as a percentage of capacity? We've never been as near-full this consistently in my lifetime certainly.
This season will be our record average attendance as percentage of capacity.Although average attendance was higher in the late 1960s , Highfield Road was nowhere near full as the capacity was 50000 in those days

Slightly off topic, but I always wonder did they actually know what the capacity of grounds was back then?
Like did they know for that Wolves game in 1967 that Highfield Road would actually hold 51k? Or did they just keep letting people in until it was full?

This season will be our highest average attendance outside of the top division

The latter, I suspect. As a small child, I was usually lifted over the turnstiles, and it wasn't uncommon in a big crowd for children to be sat round the edge of the pitch. Photographs show this at the Wolves match when a pitch invasion by these kids after we went 2-1 up threatened to abandon the game. Highfield Road couldn't actually contain 51, 455. 'Health and safety' - what's that?

People were climbing up the floodlight pylons, the possibility for a serious crowd incident were frightening, couldn't happen today, but health and safety as we now know it didn't exist then

We are 2 behind our most ever wins in a season which is 24
We are tying our lowest defeats in a season on 6 (it would be 3 for 19/20 but an incomplete season)
We are 1pt behind our most ever in a season being 75, (although if 2pts per win was extrapolated it would have been 84pts in the 58/59 season)
From what I can find our most goals scored in the modern era in one season is 75 which we’re only 1 goal behind

What is 'the modern era'? Does it mean post-WW2, or post-Premier League?

They broke some of the gates down at some games back in the ‘30’s

2bf we could have played the whole of the 19/20 season and the only “tough” game we had remaining was Peterborough away I think . We’d have only lost 4 max that season

I think we will achieve wins and points records at this point

Within last 50 years (as far as I can find on the internet as Im not sure that is correct)

75 points is our all time record in the Football League. If we accumulated more than that before we joined the Football League in 1919 is a maybe but unlikely.
Obviously before the 80s is was 2 points for a win, so it might not be a winning record, but its certainly a points accumulated record
