Brown kit? (9 Viewers)

What is the point in this kit?

Is it 'commemorating' an anniversary of the original?

Is there a reason for it?

Seems stupid to release a new shirt about 3/4 of the way through a season

Will it be worn in a match, surely we have enough kits already.

I think it’s been brought out now to
Commemorate Leicester being well and truly
deep in the brown stuff 😀

I was there too, but prefer to remember its debut at Derby where we won 2-0 with Steve Hunt scoring on his debut (and obviously a goal from Ian Wallace).
Yeah I was at Derby the first time we wore the brown, and I seem to remember Hunt's goal was a screamer? Nobody could believe the kit, which was an outrageous departure from anything seen before.

I'm not a fan and after a bit of deliberation I've decided it's because of the sponsor and a bit of the trim being in blue. They should be white. Even then it'd still be horrific, just not quite as horrific as it is.

I heard that it was based on the colour corresponding to Reda Johnson's piss. We will wear it on legends day and he'll come out wearing it hand in hand with Simon Gilbert.
(A few throwbacks there!)

Steve Hunt, Gerry Daly and Gary Gillespie if I'm not mistaken.

The opposition player with the impressive leap and flyaway hair looks so familiar, but I can't place him. It's Everton I think?

I'm pro-brown in theory. No doubt this one polarizing. Might be just me but the shade of brown is rather dark, I might prefer a brighter shade.

But this clearly just an attempt to normalize 4th kits, leading to a dangerous slippery slope to the 5th kit, 6th kit, 7th kit, etc.

Word on the street is that there were no plans for another kit but when this range came out it was just so popular they had to call the hummel designers in for an emergency meeting

It'll sell a load and generate a bunch of revenue for the club which is great

But it's not hit the tone for me, trying too hard to look ugly, the original was just a template in an odd choice of colour. Adding the Skyblue accents and the busy patterns just make it bad not so bad it's good. Also should have used the retro badge.

I'm all for it but won't buy one, I just have my fingers crossed that we don't secure the League wearing it and our trophy lift photos aren't the squad decked out in brown!
