We have the strongest bench I can remember. It's down to him to work to get onto it.

Still don’t think it needs two CBs on it.

Obviously Spurs would want him to be playing but I'd imagine it's a good experience for him either way, part of a competitive squad under maximum pressure.

I find it mad how just having backup/competition can spur on existing players on to better things. We saw it when Woolf came in Bobby and Kitch licked on. Now they had a wobble Lati was on it. Tats has pushed on in the last few weeks with Esse on his tail. But also that safety net of knowing the season won't hang on a couple of injuries. Rushie and Onyeka staying fit would be huge as they are the ones we can't really back fill to a similar level.

Maybe spurs weren’t happy with the style at pompey and would rather him be involved in a first team set up playing proper football in training even if it meant less game time.

Feel a bit sorry for him.

I doubt he's crying himself to sleep and football is a ruthless game, but still, he must be very unhappy with how it's turned out especially if promises of game time were made to him.
Things can change quickly. We could get a few injuries on Wednesday and he'd be back amongst it.

Anyone joining a team top of the league shouldn't really be expecting anything to be guaranteed minutes wise.

I assume for us the main attraction was that he was available early in the window and a cheap deal to do- Probably weren't sure if we'd get Markelo or not.

Who cares? They way Spurs are falling he will get his chance with his actual club in the Championship.
