JDS has been one of best players this season, as i previously stated the "issues" he has are mostly taticial as he was being asked to push very high up which left space in behind him.

He was great on Monday against the 2nd best team in the league and a RW who people think is very good.

Yes we would need to get better if we got promoted but that is the same for virtually all of the team at the moment.

Correct. Jay Dasilva played him out of the game. An outstanding performance.

is he? They are very different players on the ball but Giles is still a much worse defender.

Genuine Q: do you keep improving the squad or do you lose your best players each time you’re relegated? I think best is to replace what you can, stay up, then replace some more. But either way it’s a huge ask.

If you overspend and end up with a massive wage bill you have to reduce your wage bill or you become another Leicester or similar.

We all know those that are our bit players. They will be the first out the door. Those seen as our 1st team presently should be kept unless we get any good offers come in and add quality to them. Keep the wage bill affordable considering the parachute payments. If we go straight back down we would have a much stronger side than we do now. Then we would be under no pressure to sell anyone.

The issue there is you have to keep getting promoted which isn't exactly a given and if you look at what happened to similar clubs doing that in the form of West Brom, Norwich and Burnley, it either hasn't led to establishing themselves in the top flight or has led to becoming stuck in the Championship.

The wildcard in all of this is King. Would he sell the club at its peak value as a top flight club owning its own stadium complex? If the answer is yes, then depending on who he sells to you could be able to spend significantly more in that first season.

A lot of it comes down to not taking too much of a risk but strengthening at the same time. Those clubs going back down with an unsustainable wage bill are those that have the biggest problems. They then have to sell and rebuild. This season was all about continuity and I wouldn't want to change it.

I don't really see Kitching or Dasilva featuring much if at all in the PL if we go up, but as others have said it's sensible forward planning to ensure we can get a fee for them rather than let them go for nothing.

I know who I’d want in a back 4 between Giles and Dasilva and its not even close, Giles is so poor defensively makes me wonder why no team has tried him as an orthodox winger looking to his the byline

Delighted with all three. I have always backed JDS, even in the Robins years. Such a clever player, with his passing. Kitching I immediately liked. I don't remember seeing such a tough, nasty CB in Sky Blue since Kilcline, Billing etc. We always had the more technical CBs, like Elliott Ward, Martin Craine, Luis Binks, etc. Even Fadz wasn't a tough nasty CB really. He was technicallly good, and an organiser. Finally MVE. Infuriiates me every match, and since the summer I had just assumned he was wanting out. it was a good feeling to see he signed a deal. No doubt he will flourish in the Premier League should we reach it.
