Can we put the "he disappears in big games" nonsense to bed as well while we're at it
When he scored his hatrick against Sunderland last season I don't think he scored again. I'm sure that won't happen this time. Can we put the "he disappears in big games" nonsense to bed as well while we're at it
He scored against Burnley and Plymouth after the Sunderland matchHaji does need to kick on now and get himself consistently scoring the goals to get us over the line, they do usually seem to come in a glut for him - IE when he scored his hattrick against Sunderland last season and then did not score for the rest of the season
On his day he is unplayable and one of if not the best in the division
His cold patch has come in a run of matches where we were tactically awful. Arriving into the box with a ball into feet, or spinning a centre back so we get him through on goal is how to get the best of him. We should not be using him as a target man, or lumping aerial crosses into the box from out wide. We have to find a way to get the best out of him against teams who will sit deep and not give him the space in behind.Realistically no striker will score every good chance they have
Realistically all strikers have cold patches
Haji wright is a good striker
Simms and Haji have had their fair share of criticism but both have been very good signings.

Wright was brilliant yesterday, it’s the first time this season he’s tried his best.
