Highest compliment you can pay, in my book. McGrath was the beating heart of one great Cov side, and it could be well be that Frank the Tank might be the same for another one.

The guy has played 41 times for his country and has also played in the Bundesliga and Premier League.

Exactly the type of player we needed. People may like Eccles and I love Torp but neither has the necessary physicality, particularly with Rudoni and Grimes both having a bit of the dandy dan.

The best England central midfield came about by accident in the 1986 World Cup - Glen Hoddle doing the fancy stuff and Peter Reid as the 'enforcer'. That is the sort of combo we need and may have found

I was thinking Boateng myself this morning. As I was a little too young to appreciate McGrath.

Onyeka didnt sit as deep as I was expecting, but I think that is becuase he has the legs and engine to get back when needed. He looks a proper box to box type. I wouldn't be suprised to see him add goals to the team as well.

He was further forward against Oxford as well, I think it is something Lampard has decided to change.
