Hoping Ipswich snatch it but not until the last minute of extra time. Another game for them.

The, next week, a good win for Wrexham.

I didn't watch all the game, but Ipswich looked pretty poor to my mind.

10 changes buggered them

A repeat of the scoreline next Saturday, please.

Having watched Swansea a bit this season (as they’re technically my local club) I have to say that Vipotnik is a striker who would do a lot better than Simms and Wright for us in the 9 role.

His movement is intelligent, he batters defenders, wins a lot in the air and he can’t half wallop it.
He would be just the kind of striker to breathe fresh air into our forward line.

Which means, obviously, Dean Austin won’t look at him unless his data is on point.

I was hoping we signed him back when he was going to go to Swansea. A lot on here were talking about him and he looked a proper striker!

Notice Boro have their 26/26 STs on sale already. Early Bird until April.
Don't think we've ever released STs in a current season have we?

Surprising considering they don't know for definite which league they will be in. Also suspect some fans will still be paying off their current season tickets.

We had to... After the first play off season we had to either buy a squad or continue with the continual churn of loanees.

Exactly this. We had a squad to build, not two players to replace. If you want to claim we spent more than others to achieve the same performance, compare apples vs. apples.

Unless you've got a team that had no squad at all because of ten years underfunding and a one-off windfall, don't compare us to other clubs. It was a unique occurrence.

We turned a freak run in 22/23 into a squad that's contending each season, improving each time. If that isn't Austin and co. doing a good job, f*ck knows where the bar is.

Yep, 100%. He’s not a modern hybrid forward, just a regular centre forward who has a presence in the area.

Plus he actually scores regularly, which y’know, usually helps the team along…lol

Who signed more players do you think? Is that your argument that we signed more players? Do you have stats to back that up?

if you've got an example of a club that signed as many or more players who you think were better value and produced better results consistently, I'm all ears. I don't follow football closely enough outside of our club to know so I'm genuinely curious.

No you said I was wrong because we’d signed a whole squad but we signed fewer players than most.
