Monday? We'll regret it, if he starts right wing. Soon find out.
It’s my age, said we’re playing Saturday this morning, boro left backs in for a horrible night, keeping esse quiet and if he does saka comes on, just a shame Asante isn’t playing, front 3 of EMC, Asante and esse is class, think this is the game we finally turn up again

Middlesbrough played at the Blades with fast incisive passing as we were doing before Boxing Day. They also defended 20 yards deeper than Lampard does and looked very effective.
No backwards and sideways shit , we need to have a go . Just accept that we can't defend for toffee .
I don't think we'll come out all guns blazing as we could easily get quickly picked off, expect it to bed quite cagey from the start

think we’ll just have the edge, we Just seem to find an extra gear against mboro, we need to win this more than you do ,not to go top but just to remind everyone how good we actually are, Lampards been a tactical genius telling all our players to take it easy for the last 2 months, time to go again, should be another cracker
We're not looking to win either to stay top or to make a statement to other sides.

We're looking to win to put as many points between us and third as possible. Which I imagine is actually your priority too.

Exactly this. I'm not concerned about you lot, I'm concerned about the chasing pack.

I'd be perfectly happy for the two of us to be in the auto spots come May. Who comes first or second, I do not care.

Obviously you’d take 2nd but I want us to win the league and go up as champions, don’t care about points to 3rd. just concentrate on us and getting back to doing what we know we can do,

Whereas we tend to be the other way round, we're sure a shiny pot would be nice, but it pales into insignificance next to promotion. If I had to afford relevance to each it would be 95% promotion and 5% title.

Which is why the gap to 3rd is hugely more important to us.

It's a question of how would we prefer the table looking in April with 3 games remaining. Like this?;

BORO 79
COV 78
IPSWICH 77

Or this?;

COV 82
BORO 82
IPSWICH 77

(Obviously to look at the question from your perspective, switch Cov and Boro around.)

We'd prefer the second option, even though we're not in first, as the chances of promotion from this point would be much stronger.

Seeing alot of teams getting posted with lati in there.... think it would be a huge mistake giving him the start in this game. Feel boro would run rings round him feel there needs to be a change to one of the wingbacks. Want kitch and thomas back to fist pumping every block or clearance they do start believing in themselves again hopefully the drop last game will fire them to do better

I don't think the issue with them is not believing in themselves...

I’d prefer this

cov 90
mboro 77
Ipswich 62
nobody remembers 2nd, winners mentality for me

Anyone with half a brain would prefer that, as unlikely as the table is to work out like that, a question with that as a possible option to the other two would be an infant school level challenge to solve. Promotion would be in the bag and the title assured with 3 games to spare and a chance to look at the squad to assess it for the Prem.

But that wasn't given as an option in the question. It's the football equivalent of someone asking "In a Zombie apocalypse, you can only carry one weapon, faced with the only choices of a baseball bat or a crowbar which would you choose?" and answering "neither as I'd prefer to be sat in a tank." If there's no tanks present as the question intimates, then you're carrying on unarmed.

I think we should drop the fireworks and pyros and all the smaltzy shit before games and concentrate on the basics of footy
Agree DK getting a band to play on the pitch and all the other stuff he thought it was done and dusted. But football doesn't work like that.Second place I would take now don't give a fuck about winning the league. But unfortunately DK invested 4 million on a player for the future instead having going balls deep and gambling on a couple of new players to get us over the line.

I don't think the players are involved setting up the show - Esse on the sparklers, Rushworth Catherine wheels, Wright on air bombs (the irony!), etc.

The Enemy playing was about them promoting a record and us selling tops.

For years we were a basket case commercially, not going to knock attempts at maximising revenue now we're doing it.

If you want to have a go at King for something not sanctioning Bamford would be a good starter.

Why are Thomas and Kitching returning...?

because 'Boro are a stronger side. You could ask why anyone would keep them out because it's not like Oxford asked a single question of Latibeaudiere or Woolfenden. How do we know they'd do a job on Mon? I'd be nervous.

Kitching and Thomas are our best CBs and they were obviously dropped for a game to remind them that performances like QPR where Kone bodied them are not acceptable. Lessons over. We need our best players on Mon night.

that's why I'm putting them back in, anyway! 🤷🏻

no disrespect but some of our fans wanted to drive half this team anywhere in the summer, he was one of the main reasons we were playing like we were, he played the first 17 games 10 goals and 3 assists, if that’s not consistent ? We’re missing him it’s obvious
No it's really not consistent in the bigger picture

Lats hasn’t let us down all season. Not sure what Thomas and Kitching have done to deserve to come straight in tbh. Thomas gives us a threat at set pieces but purely defensively neither have been great all season.
