Only thing that miffs me is it's length, just getting into a good bit and it finishes and I've got to wait again
I know! Have you read the book on Duncan. I have, know the story, but it doesnt ruin it. I think its really well filmed, and despite not being as Grandiose as the original still is a great watch.

We gave up on Ozark. I think we watched it off the back of watching Better Call Saul…it all felt a bit too fast paced and crazy. Every episode something v exciting happened! Which, now I’m typing this, makes me think I should give it another go.

Go back to it mate.

It`s a true standout tv series.

It starts off with Marty as the main character and then bit by bit, his missus Wendy, together with Ruth, just dominate the whole thing, with Marty playing an almost supporting role.

It`s incredibly well written and cast too.

It quite rightly made a star of the relatively unknown Julia Garner, as Ruth.

Lasted about 15 minutes of Lord of the Flies last night. Not really sure what they were trying to achieve with this adaption.
This brings me nicely on to the Sky version of Amadeus. The play is considered one of the greatest popular works and was adapted into what is considered one of the greatest ever films, so it already feels weird to adapt it again, but they clearly have no new ideas and nothing new to say, so why bother doing it? Every moment in the show is like "oh, this is like the film except not as good", which just makes me want to watch the film!

Same here, switched over after 20 mins, couldn`t believe how bad or how utterly annoying every single kid was.

Also, what was going on with the camera work, it was making my eyes hurt ??

It`s a shame, as I was really looking forward to this and it`s usually the type of drama that the BBC excels at.

It`s been panned in the press too.

Stick with Ozarks, it gets better and darker with each series and the character development with each series is sublime.

I was gutted when it finished.

I found it very hard to get out of my head, the image of Wendy being shagged from behind while having her backside smacked at the same time 😁👍

Only watched the first episode of Small Prophets so far but its pretty much perfect TV.

Mackenzie Crook does this kind of thing like nobody else.

Whole series is up on iplayer but I'm tempted to stick with one a week to prolong the enjoyment.

I don't know if there's a specific name for this trope, but I'm an absolute sucker for a story in which the main character is just a fundamentally decent, honourable person and they fall upwards in a chaotic, treacherous environment due to the allies they make just by being a nice and endearing personality. The latest episode actually got me pretty emotional!

Caught up with the latest episode last night. Really enjoyed, but I knew the end credits would roll before it kicks off!
Do wish it was two episodes a week. A 30ish minute a week episode doesn't seem long enough when the content is so good

I started watching "The Pitt" last week which is a drama based in a Pittsburgh emergency room. Each episode is an hour in their working day e.g. EP1 07:00 - 08:00 which I think is cool.

Two episodes in and really enjoying it so far. Season 2 is recently out too.

This is the show they're pushing as the big selling point of HBO Max when it launches here in March

The Pitt is fucking great. ER was a huge part of my adolescence and a gateway TV series for me, so watching essentially 24 meets ER is a massive thrill

If you want a more light hearted watch, "Weird" on prime. Its a biop of Weird Al Yankervich' life. Its as weird and exagerated as he is.

We've gone full circle and the streamers have reinvented cable TV.

Sky now offering a package with its entertainment channels, Disney, Netflix, HBO and Hayu (nope, I've never heard of it either), all with ads.
