If I’m clutching at straws, I’m indifferent to their result tonight

You get the feeling we need a win next week, regardless of how they got on tonight to give us a real shot in the arm

Let’s see anyway, I’m holding a glimmer of hope that dropping down to 2nd MIGHT just kick our arses into gear a little bit and might let a bit of complacency creep in on their part
could be just what we need, win would be massive, then Asante back for the West Brom game, wer’e massively missing him,

I want to see whoever starts up front put one through hackney early doors and tell him he's a gimp.

100% will get the crowd going as well.

Will this do?

Although you wouldn't believe it on by the posting on here Boro look like they are very open and that is the type of team we are better at playing. Take the Oxford game, we were much the better side but they sat back and we are shite against low blocks. Boro are likely to press us and strangely we are better at dealing with that then teams who low block and counter.

Now I'll probably be called a "cuck" but I am not going to wallow and think a game that is quite winnable for us is anything but that.

Also Boro will lose games as will everyone, we just need to make sure we lose less.
They won't play anywhere near as open as this against us, they will do their homework work, sit back and hit us at pace on the counter.

MR at least had us in good form going into the playoffs. we are going to flop into them under Lampard

Look I'm largely apathetic about Lampard, not sure he is the answer. Point is though if MR was still here we'd hear far more "deserves credit for getting us in this position" "squad was never strong enough to maintain this over 46 games" "other stronger teams with more resources were always going to catch up". All reasonable points but too many people have had an agenda against FL from the start and won't entertain them

You might want to revisit some match threads from 21-22 when our great home form started to disintegrate around Christmas

Frank lampard has been backed by the fanbase full stop .

If he fucks this up he deserves every ounce of shit coming his way

He always had credit in the bank though and rightly so

Like I say, revisit some of those match threads.

And as I said on another thread today, I certainly won't be calling for Lampard to go, far from it.
But that doesn't mean he hasn't overseen momentous fuck up if we don't go up.

I can't rationalise him being the sole reason for us not lasting the pace. Thats the point I'm making. I couldn't care less whether he is here next season. Not emotionally bought into him at all like MR but there is clearly more factors than just him to how this season has gone
