Simms started last week - how did that go
The point is that Simms was in form when Wright came back from injury, but Wright was put straight back into the team.

Good form should be rewarded, and Wright should have been expected to win the shirt back.

How Simms played in a one-off game a couple of months later has no relevance to that.

It has to be said as well, as ineffective as Wright was, Lampard needed to put on Simms way before he did. Although he can be almost as frustrating. We needed a striker!!!

What did Simms actually do - did he even touch the ball?

He scored some goals but his overall performances have been awful.

Not at the time he was dropped for the returning Wright they weren't.

this is how pathetic you are that we put out an awful performance and all you focus on is a bloke that played 20 minutes

What’s pathetic is I went to the game and give a fuck and you didn’t and also you don’t

Wright is done here... he will play for the rest of the season because simms offers even less!! His always offside and his taking of chances are awful!! Only scored most his goal this season because they were laid on a plate and mostly on the line tap ins!

If we do miss out, he won't be the only one. There'll be a mass exodus.

The fact remains Robins pissed most of our Vik, Gus windfall money on Wright, Simms with Thomas and Kitching taking another chunk.
We needed a consistent effective quality striker and central defender for that money.

You can either head a ball or you cant. Wright is the latter. Centre forwards can get away with the latter if they are six yard predators or good finishers. Wright is neither of those either. With the amount of corners we had, Lampard would have been better throwing Thomo on, at least he attacks the ball rather than duck.

please do not defend wright today. he was shocking.
slightly more bothered than he has been recently, but that isn't really a positive, is it.
with emc out he should have been on the wing.
failing that, the bench. but never, ever, is he a striker.
