It’s all relative. He’s what we need right now. There would be no point signing another Torp for example.View attachment 48967
This Brentford fan thinks he’s going to be in the team to “pass”. Think again Premier League idiot! We need him to run about and smash into people.
I genuinely wouldnt be against him stamping his mark on the league with 5 bookings in his first 5 games tbh! We're far too weak from front to back. So soft. We need a bit of mettle in the team. Somebody to put it on the opposition toes and break up their play. Let everyone else play fancy football, you just need to get in opposition faces when we havent got the ball. Disrupt it however necessary.View attachment 48967

Unless we dont get promoted, he is staying with us. Lets hope hr lives upto expectation as I have never seen him play, as I suspect, many others on here havent too. A stormer against Oxford would be very welcome
So they are saying that he has a good engine but is not technically good enough for the Prem.Just had a gander at their forum and it's a mixed bag, I don't think him saying he wants to play for Man Utd helped him with fan perception.
I'm excited. At the end of the day they are currently a top 10 side in the PL.
From what I've picked up, his strengths are his engine and ability to break up play and win the ball. If he's good at that (it sounds like it's his other side of his game that has dropped him down the pecking order) in the PL then those strengths will really translate in the Champ.
The gap between the PL and Champ is massive, he may not have the fully rounded game that the PL requires but he'll be a star in the Champ.
Fan opinion isn't the best metric to go by, many people on here are very negative about our fringe players but they would be top players in league one.
Welcome Frank the Tank, smash it!

So we are signing him permanently if we go up .. to the Prem.

Cos we’ve stopped passing and movingHopefully he kick starts our own ability to score "on the transition" something we did a lot early season but seem to have done less do recently
Dont get why people are paying too much attention to what their fans are saying.
Yes! This! Nasty little Brentford fans.Because they are being mean and it’s very upsetting![]()
I really don't understand this thinking. Who cares?S

Well, if both of them are reading:Yes! This! Nasty little Brentford fans.
itll be all the press, photos, handshakes etc, theyd announce whenever theyre readyView attachment 48971
Not that it makes much difference but would be interested to know why it takes us so long to announce signings.
This is Frank meeting his new team mates at 1.30pm today.
Very positive reading overall. Thanks
Well, apparently Simms plays in his jeans.Must be difficult playing in trousers?
Yeah I’d say we have had a better window than Ipswich and BoroJust one observation generally about Championship business today there, there was loads of teams scrambling around unsuccessfully including Ipswich. Looks like Onyeka was the main target for a while. Loads of people suggested we should be gambling on these Premier League players on a loan with an obligation. Fair play to Doug. Got the deal done.
Except for the points haul.Yeah I’d say we have had a better window than Ipswich and Boro
If the signing’s already done, why does it matter when it’s announced?View attachment 48971

Would have thought it's all the media stuff to "launch" him.It doesn't. But like I said, I'd be interested to know why.
If they announced him at 3pm it would have been 4 hours of fans getting angry no one else in so they probably delayed it just like I keep a xmass pressie aside for when my ungrateful kid wants one moreIt doesn't. But like I said, I'd be interested to know why.
