Is it a crazy idea to play kitching at left back?
Yes

It's not a crazy idea that full backs should defend though, especially when we are leading the game.

We have conceded so many from them fucking about. It's so easy to play against, just wait for one of them to bomb on and lose the ball and it just means grimes and 2 centre halves have to deal with a counter attack.

As for mves long throws, may as well just play them back to our keeper as that's where they end up.

JDS was really good until he got sent off at Southampton, since then he has been poor but i suppose so have the rest.

When attackers have the ball out wide, why do we back off rather than engage, we should push them away from the box, instead we let them run until they get into a decent position to cross.

Also why do are fullbacks play as wingers most games. Makes us so wide open down the wings. You can get away with it more at home but away it's suicidal and unnessacary especially when we are winning. We should shut up shop and play on the counter, exactly like teams do to us now. You just need to look at the goals conceded against Birmingham, Ipswich, Norwich and QPR. All preventable if our defenders aren't caught out of position or attackers engaged quicker. It's basic defending.

I agree about the long throws. They have not worked in a long long time. If anything it offers opposing teams an opportunity to launch counter attacks. Let’s be more conservative and pragmatic. Need to be able grind out ugly, scrappy narrow wins (which we could’ve done vs Southampton, Preston, Norwich and QPR). Gone are the days of big wins.

Has JDS really been that good or is it that he was so bad at the start for us he really now only just about looks at the level he should be or had been.

Opposition have always exploited down our left when he’s playing due to his size, it wasn’t that apparent when we were dominating teams and nobody seemed to be able to stop us, now the tide has turned and oppos have worked out a way to counter us he looks lost again, same could be said about Kitching.

We back off because that’s clearly what has been coached into them, pack the box out in defence and in theory there should be enough players in the box to stop it going in the net or rely on Rushworth to keep the ball out.

I would suggest stubborn Frank is at fault for this
