Have to say some accountability for this implosion is down to Dean Austin and Doug, desperately need a CB, LB, and CM? Yeah let’s get three unproven wingers in, not arsed now - another semi final loss in the play offs here we come. It’s not bedwetting, it’s embarrassing that we’ll be the only team to bottle it from this stage.

Totally agree it's absolutely shocking. Hull won again and have a game in hand. Defence yet again has cost us

So you throw away what you know to be successful all things considered like player freshness/healthiness due to a few bad results?

Your argument falls down on itself “If we do the same things the same things happen”. So we can use that argument when we’re losing and conceding but not when we’re winning and scoring 2.7 ppg avg?

Looking back at January and December, have we been figured out?
We lost 1 home game out of 5
Drew 3 out of 6 away games
The table doesnt reflect how lucky a win was or how unlucky a loss was, but we’ve conceded goals due to individual errors that have cost us points and played through the busiest part of the season with a small squad and key player absences.

Now isnt the time to throw baby out of with the bathwater and rip into a system that we have proven to work.

We’ll win tomorrow, We’ll beat Oxford at home, and We’ll beat Middlesborough at home too and everything will be rosey.

i take it back. My optimism, faith and confidence has completely gone after that. I dont think im ever going to recover from watching us bottle it like this

Doug loves to issue a statement out when things are going well.

Here’s mine.

Doug,

You need to back the manager and the lads that are already here now, get the cheque book out and bring Frank in whatever he needs before the window closes.

This is and will be the best opportunity for this club to get promoted back to the Prem for some considerable time.

You’ve asked fans to turn up and support.

It’s time for you to do the same mate.

Only big worry is if we’re already struggling to pay what teams want then it won’t do us any favours being so close to the deadline

Cannot disagree with this

unfortunately this season will be the season where both the manager and owner were reactive not proactive.

We needed more in the summer to get us through December, and needed experience lined up for the start of January. Those saying to wait until the window closes in both windows are looking silly now.

Lampard is looking incredibly stubborn and doesn’t even seem to be reactive considering these performances have been there for 12 games. Should we fail to go up from where we were mid December or will be one of the biggest failings in the last 20 years. i’d imagine Doug and Frank will know this and there will be a handshake and parting of ways come the summer

lol at people suddenly pivoting on January 31 to us actually needing a CB all along, great transfer strategy here

No worse than the actual transfer strategy which is to buy players who aren't fit and will be third choice between now and the end of the season.

Esse was a good deal and is proven, 2 goals in 4 games so far is a good return, YMH is looking a questionable deal so far but needs time to settle, and Markelo isnt even fit should have just signed him and loaned him back for the season

Tactics? Squad rotation? Training?

Maybe I’m wrong and we’ll buy Onyeka and another centre half on Monday and everything’s magically fixed without changing another thing.
Yes and it looks like all those things have worked so far.
