Yes, FL explained this very clearly in his interview. Yang and Esse are short term depth that can help immediately and were probably easier deals to get done. This lad was a long term target and was wanted by others which makes any deal harder to complete. He needs to catch up and is not ready to make an impact from day 1.

Transfer market can’t be trusted for correct values but I agree it’s gotta be somewhat close and we were way above.

I did read on one article they were hoping for €4.5m and we appear to have paid €5m

Hardly a ‘big club’

Don’t see why out of 25 wingers a guy who was going to sign for a team in Dubai was the best of them all and their No.1 choice but time will tell and we will give him a chance
