I dunno, xG seems to mean everything on here until it doesn't. We had higher didn't we? We created decent chances which we missed and largely lost due to individual errors. I don't know what people were watching earlier in the season with BTA in the '10' but a lot of the games looked very similar to that in the middle of the pitch but they were going our way. I always found it an uncomfortable watch even when we were winning tbh but it was working. I'm happier with Rudi in the team but people moan about that too so you can't really win.

He has to adapt if things arent going well , thats what good managers do isnt it ?

Not persist with things that are costing us matches .

When its working great , now its not so much its hard to keep advocating for it

Slight tweak instead of going the back three would just be to pull the 10 into a 8 starting position.

That way we have more protection in midfield if there’s a quick turnover and we can defend in a 4-5-1. Wouldn’t be a huge change and would give us a midfield to play through

Don’t disagree on that, as I said it was a very similar pattern to that Wrexham game where he also did nothing at half time to shore it up in midfield.

Listen i was happy to give frank his handjob when we were doing well , weve not been that good since december and thats just a fact

Christ. Just calm down. What's the rush to turn on a manager who's got us to the great position we are now in?

🤣🤣🤣 irony

But anyway , i like frank its just some cold hard truths .

Lately weve been pretty poor , hes sulking in post match pressers and his tactics have been a bit wank , hes failed to adapt to matches well

Did you think we'd be top of the league at the end of January? If the answer is no, then he's still doing a good job. I think we're a play off team that overperformed personally. The pressure should be on King to bring in what we need to try and stay there.

Our ongoing form is a concern , especially away and we have to address it .

Im not sure that statement needs any debate

Btw , the whole playoff team that over performed is a recent thing starting to emerge

Thats you all showing your concern about us falling away , nothing more

I think there's a lot more to it than tactics. Personally I would be disappointed if we made any major tactical changes, I think it is a matter of personnel, confidence and a bit of luck.

You dont think we need to address the grand canyon size hole in midfield ?

Right? We all want that. Didn't think the knives would be so sharp for him sat top of the league though.
Still only lost home games vs Leeds, Burnley and Ipswich during his entire tenure btw.

Hold on , The form has been going on for a 3rd of the season and im displaying my concern for our automatic promotion hopes .

Truth is if this form continues we wont be automatically promoted .

The knives are being sharpened

And yet you had an issue with people pointing out his predecessor should probably be doing slightly better than just hovering above the relegation zone.

Absolutely not , to fuck it up that would indicate poor form over half a season .. thats unacceptable

Robins will be free soon so we can soon get the glory days back

His predecessor gave us 2 promotions and 3 wembley visits , he had bank

What confuses me is that earlier in the season he was adapting to opposition tactics and even pre-empting them. Now we’re churning out the same stuff and actually doubling down on it away.

The net result is losing control of a lot of games.

We’re clearly trying to sign a new midfielder

Torp has been struggling for fitness and form

I doubt BTA as a 10 will be repeated.

Get a new midfielder in and don’t play a striker in midfield and we’ll look a lot better.

Amazing how so many are not prepared to say how shit its been since december

Weve all been to the games , away its been diabolical

Yes we need to figure out the away form for sure. The home form is holding pretty strong which at least gives us a platform while we try and get that right. Something is wasn't doing at all before Lampard.

I will say though, in the last two home games we've had patches of looking back to our best, and patches of looking absolutely honking. Again I think this comes down to taking needless levels of risk which that tweak against Lesta addressed.

We have enough about our attacking players to still do damage without being so cavalier tactically.

No one is saying results have been good

Some of us just have a bit of belief in the team and manager that got us in this position in the first place

We all know we've dropped off a bit, people probably thought it might take a bit more than being still actually at the top of the league for the knives to come though.
Fact is theres still a hardcore few that can't accept Robins was fired and were waiting for literally any reason to turn.
What he did last season was pretty miraculous too. Overall he's done a great job.

Im not am i , weve been pretty poor for 11 matches .

Even the wins v leicester and millwall we were very poor at times .

We are not playing well

Its now a 3rd of the season
You're being irrational, overall we deserved to beat Millwall and Leicester. Leicester had a good first half but were much the better team in the second. Millwall we deserved the win on the balance of chances created. These are decent sides, we are not going to be completely dominant in games all season. If we continued or last 10 form for the remainder of the season we'd finish on 86 points. I think we might possibly need more than that now but it isn't a huge uplift to get to 90, is it?

Edit, I thought we were on 61. Last 10 form gets us to 83, still not a huge jump to 90.

Tom , all you are doing by bringing robins into this is trying to dismiss concerns about our form as though we are some bitter ex that cant move on .

Ive given lampard so much praise on this forum so its a silly thing to bring up
