McCallum has been really good this season btw, I prefer Burrows at his best though, I think he can go further. Also in last seasons Championship team of season.
We put down a lot of our own players because we see them all the time, but you have to remember other teams fans do the same. My mate is a huge Sheffield United fan (yes he's a c**t like all of them but he's my c**t) says Hamer played well against Ipswich but overall has been pretty shite this season and looks out of shape. Basically has his cock in his hand when talking about O'Hare though. I'd still snap your hand off for Hamer and Burrows and if you get them even close to last seasons form you are laughing.
Burrows can’t defend

I know he attacks better but I'm not sure its entirely true, you don't get in the team of the season being clueless defensively I don't think.
I'd be interested to see his detailed stats from both this and last season vs Dasilva.

So this is a current squad of 25, I haven't included U21s such as Andrews etc:

GK - Rushworth, Wilson, Dovin
CB - Thomas, Kitching, Woolfenden, Latibeaudiere
RB - van Ewijk, Kesler-Hayden
LB - Dasilva, Bidwell, Brau
CM - Grimes, Torp, Eccles, Allen
AM - Rudoni, Esse
RW - Sakamoto, Markelo
LW - Mason-Clark, Min-hyeok
ST - Wright, Simms, Thomas-Asante

We all agree that we need to sign a CM and I expect that to be Onyeka.

If we are ruthless, would could look to sign a LB and CB, but I don't know if we have been linked with anyone in these positions.

Hopefully we can either move/deregister one of Bidwell or Brau if we are to bring in a LB and we could deregister Dovin if we are to bring in a CB.

He was better in general last season (Burrows), and much better defensively too. This season Dasilva's defensive numbers are much better than his, they're comparable going forward and on the ball.

It's as simple as that. You've got people trying to take the moral high ground that there's some concern about the transfer activity, but they're missing the point.

Standalone this signing looks decent, and we've spent some money. We can all be happy about that. If we sign a CM then it is a decent window. No problem. If we don't it is ridiculous given what is at stake. We really need some strength. That's the reality here.
Why not just wait till end of window to talks bout failures then?

Arguing something is terrible when you don't know if it's the case yet is a bit silly? Just say it's terrible once it's actually happened.

I think we’ll bring in a CM (assume Onyeka) and that will be it. If anything else happens it will be outgoings.

I wouldn't as I explained but to each his own. I think Burrows has more strings to his bow. I would take either though.

I think McCallum has better physical attributes and is better defensively. Burrows though would link up with EMC well.

It’s a great squad until you get to the defenders, problem wev’e got is everyone wants to change the way we play that’s got us where we are so we can cover our poor defence, 100 % convinced if we had a couple of good centre halves grimes doesn’t play the way he does, he’d be pushing up more, I’d love to see us tighten up a bit but just hope we don’t lose that attacking threat, still convinced it won’t take much for us to start playing how we were,

Esse and Yang are both U21 as well.

Ideal world I’d want Onyeka plus another CM who has vision and goal threat like Torp, plus a LB. Ideal ideal world also plus a CB but I don’t think we find a quality CB at this stage. So let’s say 25 of:

Rushworth/Dovin/Wilson
MvE/KKH
LB/Dasilva
Thomas/Kitching/Lats/Woolf
Grimes/Onyeka
CM/Torp/Eccles
Rudoni/Esse
Saka/Markelo
EMC/Yang
Wright/Simms/BTA

Don’t think we will but that would be perfect for me.

Watched the Ipswich game, Hamer is so unfit it's unreal, but he still got 2 assists.

If we are in the market for a new (4th) left back, assuming that Bidwell and Brau aren't up to the job, I wouldnt be surprised to see us in for Quilindschy Hartman from Burnley, recently dropped from first team and is rumoured to be surplus to requirements there.
I think he would be worth signing just to listen to Gurney and Oggy attempting that surname!

Surprising, he looked fairly decent from what I saw start of the season.
