We wanted Yang in the Summer but missed out. Lamps said that.
Think a lot of Championship teams would have been happy to take him.
Edwards has said EMC is finally fully fit which he hasn't been since he joined the club.
Wang will get minutes at the right time.

Yang wasn't even second choice at Portsmouth, couldn't get in the team when Josh Murphy was out. Hope he can contribute whilst here but not a great endorsement of his ability.

Everybody said we needed a midfielder who could control the middle of the park last season, as Sheaf was getting injured and recovering from injury too often. Hence, we got Grimes, even though it went against our previous policy of resale value.
At the start of this season we needed a goalie and we sorted that with a loan, which was sensible if Dovin can recover his form.
We needed CB cover and we got Wolfie. We needed left back cover and we got Brau. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, they have not achieved expectations.
Everybody pretty much agreed we needed cover for our wingers especially as Tats was looking tired. The club has addressed that with two loans and that has already paid dividends.
It appears we have a more pragmatic view to signings now. We have had a volte face regarding buying experience and getting in loans.
Even ignoring the players we have been linked with by outside influencers and agents, most fans agree we need a quality central midfielder to supplement the really good midfielders we already have, and as an insurance policy against further potential injuries or suspensions.
Now the difficult bit. I am sure we have our targets, as there is too much noise from accredited sources to think otherwise. We will not overpay, we will not put the club in jeopardy and we will not break our wage structure. Too many posters on here think getting the player you want is easy. We have a list, but if we can't get one over the line, it won't be for lack of trying.
the thing that gets me is, we've only got 2 loans in, surely PAYING for 1 or 2 more won't bankrupt us or affect next seasons buget. We'll get £160M for promotion, if that strains our budget, we have to be poorly run ffs!!

But he also had a mini scoring streak, including the winner against ‘boro (for their first defeat). By the time we played them, he was one of the most talked about players in the division. It may have evaporated from then on for him but it’s not like he didn’t make an impact down there.

We will never get a better chance than this its simple
People said this after the Luton defeat. People were saying that was it. Our chance gone. Now look at us.

Adding more and more players doesn't guarantee anything. Continuity is a big reason as to why we are where we are. As is good coaching.

I agree a CM would be ideal but let's trust the club and recruitment team. Half this current side got lambasted as being atrocious not that long ago and labelled terrible signings.

The club know what they are doing.

You have to see it from the flip side though, I'd be very surprised if we retained

Haji
MVE
Rushworth
EMC
Esse

Should we not go up.

Oh yeah I don't disagree with that at all.
Whether we go up or not there is going to be a substantial turnover recruitment wise needed.

I just think we should back the current squad who have proved that after 29 games (after tonight) that we are (at worse) 3 points + substantial GD better than the next team in this league.

A CM to me is the main area we need that depth as I think we all do. But I am certain there club are and will do something if they can.

Apologies if I missed it through the last few pages of non-transfer related nonsense, but did anyone post Will Kings tweet about Gus?

Arguably could have less relevance than the Starbar chat but it is more transfer related

2 of those likely wont be retained even if we do go up. Despite what many think i cant see Brighton selling Rushworth unless its a ridiculous offer and Esse wont be sold either.

I think we would sign both, and would be surprised if the conversation hasn't been had already.

Regardless, there would be a squad overhaul if we went up, the difference being we would be a Premier league team just looking to scrape survival, and not rebuild a Championship topping team.

Esse probably could have been attainable had Glasner stayed at Palace as it is obvious he does not fancy him... New manager may want to take a look

That being said, having sold Guehi, Mateta on the way out and having a manager who has mentally checked out, if WHU, Leeds and Forest keep picking up results life could become very awkward for Palace and I said on the Premier League thread they could sleepwalk into a relegation battle

I took that as a joke

Hamer helping set up two goals for Sheffield Utd helped us and therefore in a way, Hamer was like a signing for us.

That's how I read it. That he was joking

The fact he said "atm." That was when Hamer had a least one assist for a goal
