If we win tonight, I will truly believe we’re going up. If Rudoni upsets the whole balance of the team again though, we could be leaving gaps all over the place.
I've been doing this since mid-November. I'll be the same as you tonight if we win, but if we lose at QPR and the other two win I'll then be absolutely convinced we're finishing 3rd at best. I'm never going to survive until May.

Usually one of the least anticipated away games of the season personally, but woken up quiet excited for tonight. I think Lamps needs to either drop Rudoni to partner Torp/Eccles to pack the midfield and stop us being so open on the counter, or tell the lads to drop 5-10 yards. Wouldn't be opposed to seeing Simms get a start as he has played well in some tough away games this year.

I am going for a close 2-1 victory, following the pattern of previous games with the bench making an impact and we get a late goal.

Went in The Compleat Angler pub last night, hoping to grab a bite to eat ( opposite The Nelson, where City fans always end up ( Premier Inn). Local nutter decides he wants to be best friends with my dog ( bad idea), treating him to a manic David Brent style dance. Wife unimpressed, dog nonplussed. We decided to head back into the City centre, where we found a great pub, got treated to a bagpipe rendition for Burns night, during the walk. Sussed out a little Irish pub round the corner from the accommodation for a pre-match pint, or will head down to the Nelson. Come on City - need to turn up tonight.

I'd do the same and start Eccles and Torp. If it was at home I'd play BTA.

No way I'm dropping Wright after his last couple of performances. He looks like he could be about to click into that unplayable mode that he does every now and again. 6-8 games of that and promotion is done.

4 points over these 2 away games would be fantastic. A similar haul for the 2 home games and we will be left with needing another 20 points from the last 14. I’m thinking 86 is sufficient for 2nd. Come on you Sky Bues!!!

Did Clement do anything of note when he played for us? I honestly can't remember a thing about him, is there any reason that anyone should hold a grudge either way?

Recall a preseason friendly at Cardiff City's Ninian Park he got quite a nasty facial injury, apart from that like you SBT I can't remember anything else about him.

He spoke about his time with us in his presser for this game

Claimed he was unlucky with injuries but he still enjoyed his time with us and it made him fall in love with English Football culture - Liked working with Strachan a lot and struck up a good friendship with Huckerby who he has been reacquainted with since he got the Norwich job

A win would be massive tonight - but I’m firmly camp “take a point”. Our Carrow Road record combined with Norwich’s current form makes the a hella spicy game for me. We haven’t won away since end of November either.

Still traumatised by those late goals last season to be honest 😅

Well, hopefully it will be deja vu and he will have a pained expression on his face tonight as well

I read the other day we managed to get into the play offs despite only winning 5 away games last season and I couldn't wrap my head around that

When you win just about every home game as we have done under Lampard, you get a lot of leeway away from home. Unless this home form collapses, we’re going to be ok. The only teams we’ve lost to at home are Leeds, Burnley, Sunderland and Ipswich.

Another fact to blow your mind: in 22/23, we failed to win a single game from a losing position.

If you're near the Nelson tonight give it a miss and just walk a few minutes up Thorpe Road. Coach & Horses is a very nice pub.

Might be the biggest thing we need to correct in the run-in. We've lost quite a few points from winning positions this season.
That’s harsh, we’ve got the most points from winning positions and have took the lead more than anyone else the league.

We’ve only lost at Wrexham, Drew against PNE, Southampton, Charlton and Oxford. All away from home which needs to be looked at. Ipswich/Boro have not lost a winning position but Ipswich have drawn twice.

We’re second in the ‘comeback kings’ table having only conceded first in 10 games, compared to Watford (19 times) and the others concede first around 13-14 times. Interestingly, Boro have won 2/13 and Ipswich are 0/11 when conceding first.

In short, pray whoever Boro/Ipswich play score first! 😂

Urgh I feel nervous already. I wish I could be more zen and enjoy the ride, this is probably the most fun it'll get but all I can do is fixate on the fact we might mess it up. I need to just enjoy each game... Next season might grim, Bonnie Blue'd by the entire Prem... Forming a orderly queue to pump little old Cov week in week out

I'm not downplaying what we've done well, but if we want to finish where we are, we've got to keep finding areas to improve. We sorted the away form. We've maintained home form. If we can hold leads more consistently we'll probably finish top. It's about the only chink in the armour at this point.

I think that if we continue trying to play very expansive football without the energy levels to cover the ground that requires, we’re going to see lots more needless goals conceded on the break.

Not making any tweaks or signings to address this is the biggest issue I see at the moment.
