'Coventry started it', did we? And is that sort of playground argument all people need now?

Well FL did yes by responding to outside noise from fans. It was an emotional response and really not a good look (That's ok people make mistakes)

The sanction is fair but I'm glad we didn't respond as it would all just descent into he said she said, and the reality is we had a fine £7.5k more than Southampton so big whoop.

Fuck that, if people can't take being clapped at after abusing someone for 90 minute then they can fucking get right in the sea. Luckily for them it is that far to go.

He didn't do anything offensive or obscene. Their players reacted by swarming around him which in turn dragged our players in.

Not sure why our fine is bigger on that basis.

Parachute teams really cannot take anything can they. If something is going against them they get so rattled.

"It was alleged that following completion of the Match, Southampton and Coventry each failed to ensure that their players and/or technical area staff did not behave in a way which was improper and/or provocative"

This catastrophic use of language is going to keep me up at night. They failed to ensure that their players and/or technical area staff did not behave in a way that was improper? What??

Would not be that surprised if FL offered to repay the fine himself to Doug King... probably worth £30k of his considerable money to goad fans who have been absolute arses towards him in the past, apparently :)

Our defence seemed to consist of saying was "cba with this" and so they didn't reduce the fine. However it was probably worth paying a few k more in fines not to have to deal with the paperwork which no doubt would also need legal sign off which would likely be a few k anyway.
i'm still quite happy that they didn't take that southampton player Santos at his word when he was sprinting over to Frank. Total lies by him. Joe Edwards stopped him with good reason.

This report also ignores the most basic context: we had just held on for a point having played with 10 men for about 50 minutes and FL himself had been taking abuse from the stands. He did a fist pump in their direction, that was it.

Our players and staff probably saw theirs going over to him and wanted to defend him. That's all there was to it really.

Really enjoyed that write up. Love how they put this whole case together and gave statements and we we just like yeh okay. Bet they paid more than the 7 grand difference or whatever in man hours.

Also love this:

FL had said to him “you’re a young lad – show me some respect”. FL had repeated the comment but had not said anything else that THB could hear.

Hiring a QC and 2 outside lawyers, won't be cheap.

Whinging load of ex-prem cunts!! trying to pin it all on Frank backfired too, Harwood-Bellis is a proper child act, ffs grow up and grow a pair.

Good job the board didn't fall for their bollox and it was as much their fault as ours. Nice to see some passion and aggression from the backroom staff.
