We said it’d be a tough test and it really was, they’re a good team. More uncomfortable than Saturday for larger periods.

I just can’t overlook how we seem to suffer defensively down both wings, seemingly all the time now. We do get off the hook somehow quite a lot of the time.

Whatever you say about certain player’s performances this evening, particularly Grimes, they don’t stop trying and won’t down tools / give up when up against it or in a battle.
As well as being a bit leggy, I think Grimes is a victim of circumstance at the minute. When your No 10 is camped on the wing, you’re very exposed in the middle of the park.

It also really didn't look like it, but on the old xG count it was 2.5-1 in our favour, not far off what it was on Saturday. Even though we're crazy open we're not giving much clear cut away and creating plenty.

Why would it? It's not as if he's not played in this league before - surely he can handle 10 minutes
You've got a player who's used to our system , up to the pace of the game and has strength and physicality in spades to help out at both ends and you don't think it's a gamble to bring on a young player on debut who's been with us a week
We'll agree to disagree on that one

I guess things like when the Millwall player had the whole pitch to square it to his striker in but still fucked it don't count towards xG though do they.

Millwalls form + that 4-0 home battering = a very very tough game tonight.

They are not a high possession team in this league, and will ping us on the transition - something which has arguably been our biggest downfall during the slump.

We are gonna need an answer for that tonight - but sadly think it still means we concede.

2-1 with my sky blue goggles on, but 2-2 if I’m being realistic.

never doubt the sky blue goggles
