Just to clarify, will the league now be ‘good’ if Ipswich break into the top 2?
As long as we are in the top spot, the league will be poor. It's the only explanation.

There's no satisfaction with technology, it's much more worthy from a humanoid.Apologies mate. It stems from my mother being a meticulous school secretary. Blame her - I'll desist from now on ( mostly!)
I don't see Middlesbrough averaging more than 2 ppg until the end of the season so 87 would secure it for us if they get exactly that. So 85/86 still feels like it could be enough to me.
He's better off where he is than West Ham, but money talksLots of talk about Hayden Hackney going to the Prem, Man United or West Ham. Would be a boost for us that especially if it drags on till the very last few hours of the window and they can't replace
Bove to Watford - hope he takes ages to get fit!
It's the main reason (using 2 PPG) I suggested 88 points would all but guarantee the autos for a side, aside from a completely freakish run from the side that would finish in 3rd. As 2PPG is the most that I think us AND Ipswich could feasibly BOTH get, considering we have a face off game as well. Which would give 87 points in both instances.I don't see Middlesbrough averaging more than 2 ppg until the end of the season so 87 would secure it for us if they get exactly that. wow they are going for it.
Looks like Sheff Utd are down to their last loan option, mortgaging their ground...quite a fall from where they once were.
Iirc, their prem money runs out at the end of this season, so they'll need to be able to pay their player's big salaries somehow.

Doubt it. This guy likely wont be properly match fit until next season.Im wondering if this signing is to cover Louza who may be off?
Helps with getting around the FFP regsBirmingham sign Priske, also on a 5.5 year deal! what's with all these 5 year deals, used to be 3/4
Super super jealous of that.Birmingham sign Priske, also on a 5.5 year deal! what's with all these 5 year deals, used to be 3/4
none of them League ready like our 2.Super super jealous of that.
He's a fantastic talent, will be a Premier League player for sure.none of them League ready like our 2.

If they do, it could derail their promotion challenge, but it was my thought too. They'll sell Louza though I'm sure
Just saddling themselves with so many average players and their fans are just lapping it up. You'd think they would learn.Apparently Blues might pip Boro to Sarmiento on a perm.

Yes I think the rules changed swiftly after Chelsea started handing out 8-10 year contractsIIRC the cost of a player is amortised over the length of the contract, capped at five years. In other words, if a player has say a six year contract it is still amortised over five years.
There is therefore an advantage in having five year contracts but no further advantage for a longer one. I can see why you would give a player you sign in January a five and a half year contract because you probably don't want it expiring half way through the season.
The flaw in Birmingham's cunning wheeze arises if a player turns out to be a disappointment or suffers a long term injury.
Imagine Tim Sherwood or Harry Winks on a five year deal![]()

I quite like Sarmiento and Priske is a good talent.Just saddling themselves with so many average players and their fans are just lapping it up. You'd think they would learn.
I think Sarmiento is a fairly standard Championship footballer honestly. That Solis looks honking and that other winger they are after looks pretty crap too. As for Priske, i guess we'll see. The Scandi market is good but its also hit and miss, the standard is quite poor with the Swedish league being the poorest of the 3. Walle Egeli hasn't really done anything to justify his fee so far and he was far more highly rated. Could happen with years on his side of course, but it hasn't yet.I quite like Sarmiento and Priske is a good talent.
People also said Kyogo would be brilliant in the championship. To be fair to Birmingham though they have to get one right eventuallyI quite like Sarmiento and Priske is a good talent.
