Tennai Watson played the whole game at Anfield for Barnsley. Loanee from L1 days. Must admit I’d totally forgotten about him until I heard his name.
Quite a forgettable loan spell but I think it was his first as a young lad, and to be fair was never going to displace Dabo in that side, or was it the year before with Sterling either way both players were irreplaceable

It was the promotion / Covid / Dabo season. We had quite a bit of cover in that area with Josh Pask as well. I think Watson could cover a few positions across the back as well. He was RCB last night.

never heard anything about bad attitude or poor work ethic, always seemed focused and happy to play for us!
Just seemed to have an overly high opinion of himself. Seemed to think he should automatically be a starter when his performances suggested otherwise. A couple of managers elsewhere criticised him for having a bit of a 'toys out the pram' moment when he wasn't being picked. Good that he wants to play, but not the best way to react.

I always felt he was never willing to pull his weight defensively for the team - he wanted to play the way he wanted to play, not the way the manager and team needed him to play.

We talking about Palmer or Bassette?
